About me

Welcome! I’m Tyler Lange, LPC-S, and I believe healing happens when people feel seen, understood, and empowered. I provide a supportive, collaborative space where clients can explore life’s challenges, develop practical coping skills, and move toward lasting emotional wellness. I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and, for those who desire it, Christian faith-based counseling. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, or past trauma, I’m here to help you build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and respected. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, discuss your strengths, and identify the goals you’d like to work toward. I’ll also ask questions about your personal history to better understand the experiences that have shaped you. This is a collaborative process—there’s no pressure to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Before we finish, we’ll begin developing a plan tailored to your unique needs so you leave with a clearer understanding of how we’ll work together and what healing can look like moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a genuine, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to be themselves. I strive to balance empathy with honesty, offering compassionate support while gently challenging unhelpful patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to your unique needs rather than a one-size-fits-all model. I combine evidence-based practices with practical, real-life strategies to help you gain insight, build resilience, and create lasting change. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, encouraged, and equipped with tools you can apply in your everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, or difficulties regulating emotions. Many feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the life they want to live but are motivated to learn new skills, process past experiences, and move toward healing. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after time away, I welcome you just as you are. If you’re looking for a compassionate therapist who will support, challenge, and walk alongside you as you grow, we’d be a great fit.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients build practical skills for navigating life challenges. Together we will work on managing overwhelming emotions, coping with stress in healthy ways, improving relationships, and responding thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively. My goal is to help you create a life that feels balanced, meaningful, and aligned with your values

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps us explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We will identify unhelpful thought patterns and learn to replace them with realistic perspectives. As the thinking shifts, you will gain tools to reduce anxiety or depression and other emotional struggles while building confidence in your ability to navigate life's challenges.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a compassionate approach that recognizes we all have different "parts" of ourselves- parts that protect us, carry pain, and help us cope. Together, you will learn to get curious about these parts and understand the role they have played in your life. It promotes healing from past wounds, greater self-compassion, emotional freedom, and a stronger connection with your authentic self. This is also a treatment I use to address racial and generational trauma if so desired.

Faith based therapy

For clients who desire it, I integrate Christian Faith into the counseling process. I believe emotional healing and spiritual growth can work together. This may include prayer, scripture, and exploring how your relationship with God can provide hope, healing, wisdom, and direction. I always tailor it to your comfort level and spiritual goals, creating a space where both your mental health and faith can be nurtured.
