I am a bilingual licensed professional counselor and EMDR certified provider in Colorado. My background includes experience working with a variety of mental health conditions, such as mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma disorders, suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, and psychosis. I have experience supporting survivors of intimate partner violence, human trafficking, migration trauma, war trauma, and cultural challenges. I work primarily with adults navigating trauma and life's challenges who want to understand how past experiences may be affecting their present life, and work to shift the patterns that are contributing to their distress. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. I aim to create a space that feels grounded, warm, and genuine--where people can slow down, explore themselves on a deeper level, and feel less alone in what they are carrying. I work at a pace that feels safe and manageable to my clients, while building insight and creating meaningful change. I am a calm, curious, open, empathetic, and insight-driven clinician who deeply values and respects the unique needs, qualities, and hopes of each individual I work with.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During out first session, we will spend time getting to know each other, discussing what's bringing you in, and identifying goals. I will share more about the therapy process, myself, and my background, and answer any questions you may have. I may ask you questions about yourself, your relationships and your history to better understand the context of your experience. There is no pressure to share everything you've been through or dive into those issues immediately. Most important is that we start to connect and build trust, which is the foundation for healing and change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strengths lie in helping clients make connections between past experiences and present-day responses, especially when those show up in relationships, the body, or emotional regulation. I balance empathetic listening with gentle challenging to create change, while cultivating safety. My style is active, genuine, and relational--I'm not a passive therapist. I work with clients in real time to notice what's happening in the room, identify stuck points, and compassionately interrupt patterns that keep you feeling trapped. I aim to create a space that feels both grounded and supportive, but not avoidant of the hard parts. I approach each individual with a respectful curiosity and eagerness to understand their unique experience in the world. As such, I do not have a one-size-fits-all approach, but rather integrate each person's strengths, goals, and lived experiences with therapeutic approaches that best fit their needs. I would feel privileged to be part of your journey to healing, discovery, and self-acceptance.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is an adult who feels stuck in patterns that are no longer serving them and wants to better understand why. They may be navigating the impact of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or challenging life experiences and are looking for support in making meaningful change. Many of the people I work with have experienced emotional or relational trauma, including difficult family dynamics, intimate partner violence, or other overwhelming or unsafe experiences. Others come to therapy feeling persistently anxious, down, or disconnected from themselves and others without a clear explanation. Often, my clients appear to be functioning on the outside--while internally feeling overwhelmed, self-critical, or exhausted from trying to hold everything together. I also work with individuals who are navigating major life transitions, more serious mental health conditions, or struggling with self-esteem. My clients are typically open and curious about exploring how past experiences continue to show up in the present and are willing to engage in a collaborative, active therapy process. They are not looking for "quick fixes", but for a space where they can feel understood, gain insight, and build lasting change in how they relate to themselves, the world, and others.
