Welcome! Congratulations on doing one of the first steps of your journey: searching and initiating care for yourself! I'm glad you're here. My name is Jenny Simpson and I work with high achievers navigating depression and anxiety or even just conquering an adjustment period in addition to those having substance use disorder. I have extensive history in hospital administration, working alongside varying diagnoses.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In a first session, you can anticipate feeling welcomed and applauded for the work you're already doing. I will facilitate some assessment questions, prompt to hear about what made you seek therapy, and what has worked or not worked for you in the past. We will openly discuss how we may work together in the future.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I lean into combining evidence-based practices with an emphasis to a holistic approach to support your health and wellbeing in a way that feels grounded and personalized to you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I've spent nearly a decade working in mental health and substance use disorder settings. Clients that I work best with are desiring a change and wanting to explore further where to start, or have been having an internal dialogue that isn't cohesive. I've found that I work alongside many professionals, business owners, successful students, needing that extra wellness activity and assistance between times of transition and adjustment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I lean into combining evidence-based practices with an emphasis to a holistic approach to support your health and wellbeing in a way that feels grounded and personalized to you. CBT can be a great assistance because it helps us break down how our thoughts impact our behavior.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I'm trained in DBT and I enjoy "plucking", if you will, from it. DBT can be an excellent practice for mindfulness, value-searching, becoming more in tune with who you are and who you want to be. I don't believe that any therapy modality is one-size-fits-all and should be used ad nauseam so please know you won't be force fed any modality from me.
