LCSW
28 years of experience

As an LCSW licensed since 1996, I have dedicated my career to helping a diverse range of individuals—from doctors and lawyers to waiters, athletes and everything in between work on functioning better. Through my work, I aim to lift the burdens of anxiety, depression, trauma, and OCD, ensuring these issues no longer sit on my clients' shoulders like a monster.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Well. I won't fall asleep! That's a thing I've heard has happened to clients. I will be present and will want to hear my clients answers to any of my questions in a way that they'll be able to remember the content of what we discussed. In our first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment rooted in the principles of trauma-informed care. I prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space where they can feel comfortable sharing their experiences. We will focus on building trust and establishing a collaborative relationship, exploring their history and current concerns with sensitivity to any past trauma. My approach is client-centered, ensuring that they feel heard and respected, and we will begin to identify their goals and the best ways to support their healing and growth.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider include my creativity and extensive training. I bring innovative approaches to therapy, tailoring interventions to meet each client's unique needs. With a wealth of knowledge from numerous trainings, I incorporate the latest evidence-based practices to offer comprehensive and effective care. My dedication to continuous learning ensures that I am well-equipped to support clients in their journey towards healing and improved well-being.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young professionals who are in the first few years of their careers. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their careers. I also love working with the older adult who maybe knows the tools they have for coping are getting a bit rusty and it's time to get new tools for their took kit. Regardless of the age, I believe that we all have some form of trauma, or story from our past that is holding us back. I may never hear the story. I am much more concerned with learning coping skills so that my client can return or engage in optimal functioning. Should the story unfold, I am all ears and will help to create a narrative that empowers my clients to be the best version of themselves that they could possibly be.

Trauma Informed Care

Whether you're new to therapy or seeking a different approach, my guess is you're here for help. From high-tech professionals to college students, doctors to waiters, I've helped people like you for over 20+ years confront those inner demons. Together, we navigate the complexities of trauma, anxiety, depression or whatever mental health challenge that leads to feeling lost, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the world. I'll help you not as a friend (although it sure feels like it sometimes) but as someone that works hard to create a safe space for vulnerability and healing to unfold.
