I help people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other mental disorders. I help them further develop their mindfulness, assertive communication skills, and capacity for love & respect for themselves, and, consequently, the rest of the world. I don't merely believe in therapy, I know first-hand the beneficial power it can provide. Before seeking mental health services for myself, I not only suffered from low self-esteem, I also experienced severe panic attacks. I am, and forever will be, grateful each and every day that those symptoms now only exist in my past. These are just a few of the reasons why mental health is by far my greatest passion in life.
Our first session will, of course, involve the building of rapport. I will discuss my approach to mental health and provide some encouragements that seem to correspond with emotional intelligence. Next, I will inquire as to what brings you to therapy and what goals you would like to work towards. We will get to know one another at least a significant amount. If desired by the client and time permits, we can explore your childhood and relationship you had with your parents.
My greatest strengths are my passion and empathy. I do not believe you will not find a therapist more passionate about helping others improve their mental health and reduce their suffering. The desire to reduce the suffering of others came from the realization that the suffering that I had endured growing up had not only been experienced by me. Seemingly obvious information, I know, and yet up until that point, I didn't... know it. In actuality, the suffering caused by mental illness (and the world we live in) is, to varying extents, experienced by everyone. A distant third would be my work experience. I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Psychology in 2008, and have been working as a therapist ever since.
I am a helper. And I help people who are currently struggling with depression, anxiety, and other symptoms. I will help you expand your mindfulness, improve assertive communication skills, and view yourself, and, consequently, the rest of the world, as living beings worthy of love and respect. I do not simply believe in therapy because of empirical evidence and things I've read in college textbooks... I KNOW, personally, first-hand, the beneficial power it can provide. Before seeking mental health services for myself, not only did I suffer from low self-esteem and other depressive symptoms... I also suffered from severe panic attacks. I am grateful each and every day that I no longer suffer from those symptoms. This is just one of many reasons why mental health is the greatest passion and value of my life.
