I am a helper. And I help people who are currently struggling with depressive, anxious, and other mental illness-related symptoms. I help them expand their mindfulness, improve their assertive communication skills, and view themselves, and, consequently, the rest of the world, as living beings worthy of love and respect. I don't merely believe in therapy, I know first-hand the beneficial power it can provide. Before seeking mental health services for myself, not only did I suffer from low self-esteem and other depressive symptoms, I also suffered from severely disturbing panic attacks. I am grateful each and every day that I no longer suffer from those symptoms. This is just one of many reasons why mental health is the greatest passion of my life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will, of course, involve the building of rapport. I will discuss my approach to mental health and provide some encouragements that seem to correspond with emotional intelligence. Next, I will inquire as to what brings you to therapy and what goals you would like to work towards. We will get to know one another at least a significant amount. If desired by the client and time permits, we can explore your childhood and relationship you had with your parents.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths are my passion and empathy. I do not believe you will not find a therapist more passionate about helping others improve their mental health and reduce their suffering. The desire to reduce the suffering of others came from the realization that the suffering I had endured was not experienced only by me. In actuality, the suffering caused by mental illness is (to varying extents) collectively experienced by all. A distant third would be my experience. I graduated with my Master's degree in Psychology in 2008 and have been working as a therapist ever since.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you are currently struggling with self-love, I will show you how. Sending love to yourself is a skill...an exceedingly beneficial and important one at that. If you are motivated to reduce your suffering and thus elevate your quality of life, look no further. I am able and willing to help. The overall goal is to help you further develop your sense of autonomy, which means deepening your relationship, first and foremost, with yourself. This can only be done through self-love and understanding. You have taken an important first step today. It would be my privilege to further assist you in your mental health journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive training and experience in CBT as well as TFCBT and my approach incorporates the Cognitive Triad, which involves the correlation between our thoughts, feelings, and behavior. I encourage my clients to take responsibility of their thoughts, feelings, and behavior and make an effort to include Positivity, Mindfulness, and Assertiveness when assessing their own thoughts, feelings, and behavior.
