My name is Steven Kresha, and for over twenty years, I've had the privilege of working in the mental health field with a diverse range of populations. Starting as a rehab coordinator and case manager, I transitioned into therapy in 2015. Since 2001, I've found immense joy and fulfillment in supporting individuals to achieve their goals and dreams, helping them navigate and overcome internal and external challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will conduct a comprehensive "intake assessment." This will take up most of our time together and will help us clearly define what brings you to therapy. By completing this assessment, we will be able to create a personalized plan that addresses your unique needs and goals. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I want you to know that this is a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. Your comfort and well-being are my top priorities, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. Together, we'll work towards creating positive changes in your life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Throughout my career, I've dedicated myself to supporting clients navigating difficult life transitions, as well as those experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma. Each youth, adult, and family I work with brings unique experiences and motivations for seeking help, even when their challenges may seem similar. I firmly uphold the belief that everyone possesses inherent resilience, capable of improving their lives and overcoming obstacles. I eagerly embrace each new day as an opportunity for personal growth and transformation. Over the years, I've witnessed families, youth, couples, and individuals from diverse backgrounds embark on journeys toward wellness, achieving remarkable improvements in their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I collaborate with clients to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. By concentrating on present issues, setting realistic goals, and using practical techniques, I help clients reshape their thoughts and actions. This supportive approach empowers individuals to develop healthier coping strategies and enhance their overall well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I help individuals achieve better mental and emotional well-being by helping them focus on the present moment. I collaborate with clients to practice mindfulness, becoming more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. This helps reduce stress and promotes relaxation. Through meditation, breathing exercises, and mindful movement, clients learn to handle life’s challenges with greater calm and clarity, enhancing their overall mental health.
