Hello my name is Leah Dean, LMFT. I have been in the field of helping people for over 24 years, and I absolutely love what I do. The work I do with clients enrich their personal, and relational growth, as well as enhance their emotional over all well being. Our Culture is one that constantly changes as one move's through the all so important stages of our lives, from creation to death. Psychotherapy can provide the ceremonial time and space for honoring one's timely movement through important life passages related to change. I am here to help you with your personal struggles, losses, life changes, and challenges, and to increase Joy in your everyday life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session together, we will start with brief introductions, and then into the specific challenges you're facing/struggling with. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in this field for 24 plus years, I have discovered, that having compassion, patience, understanding, and being a good listener are the important steps to help you in your journey to personal healing and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have had positive outcomes from clients I have used this method with. It helps my clients break down their bigger issues into smaller parts, and change their negative thoughts into positive ones.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have had positive experiences with clients, in helping change their emotions, behaviors and thoughts. This treatment helped my clients to look more into their interpersonal relationships, and manage their emotions.
