My name is Rina and I have been a practicing social worker for nearly 25 years. I have been independently licensed since 2012, and over time I have made good connections in populations such as youth/ adolescents and adults (individuals, couples and seniors). I have worked with homeless and high risk youth, foster children and the families that care for them, with the LGBTQ community as an advocate and an ally and most recently in service to active duty men and women in the USAF . I believe everyone deserves to live a life of meaning and contentment, and that this looks different for different people! We can all use a little assistance in navigating the different curve balls and set backs that inevitably arise along the way. I know connection, trust and respect are important elements of all relationships, including the relationship between therapist and client. I work first to establish connection and then develop mutual trust and respect with you as we move through your wellness journey, together.

I am a Certified Clinical Provider for ADHD, with specialized training in the assessment and treatment of ADHD and executive functioning challenges. In addition, I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), allowing me to provide specialized treatment for individuals struggling with chronic insomnia and sleep-related concerns. Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
