New to Grow
I'm a licensed professional counselor and licensed mental health counselor, and I'm here to support you through life's challenges- whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, difficult relationships, or the lasting effects of childhood trauma or dysfunction. My style is warm, compassionate, and solution-focused. I believe healing begins when we feel truly seen and heard, so in our sessions, you can expect a safe space where your story is honored without judgment. Together, we'll explore what's been holding you back and begin taking real steps toward positive change.
In our first few sessions, my goal is to help you feel understood and empowered- with practical strategies you can start using right away. I draw from evidence-based approaches and tailor each session to meet your unique needs. What makes my practice a little different is that I focus on helping you move forward while still honoring where you've been.
I believe in creating hope and building confidence as quickly as possible, and I'll be with you every step of the way. It's truly a privilege to do this work alongside of you. Thank you for considering me as part of your healing journey. I look forward to supporting you in creating a life that feels meaningful, manageable, and fulfilling.
My clients are self-motivated and interested in learning and growing in order to promote positive change in themselves, and in their relationships with others. My most successful clients are invested in their personal growth and are willing to take steps that might, at first, feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar in order to achieve their goals. At its best, therapy is a dynamic, supportive partnership that allows space and emotional safety for honest and vulnerable conversations.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps to improve quality of life by identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behavior. By learning to challenge distorted or self-sabotaging thoughts and replace them with more balanced perspectives, individuals often experience reduced anxiety, depression, and stress. CBT also teaches practical coping skills- like problem solving and behavioral strategies that can be applied in everyday situations. Over time, these changes can lead to healthier habits, improved relationships, and an overall improved sense of well being.
Couples Counseling
In couples counseling, the focus is on improved communication and conflict resolution while building increased understanding and a mutually supportive relationship dynamic. While building emotional safety using strategies learned in sessions, couples often experience increased emotional and physical intimacy with their partner. While preserving the relationship is a priority, establishing a healthy, interdependent relationship dynamic is the goal that will ensure a long, healthy relationship over time.
