New to Grow
My name is LeNeice, and I am available to assist you with becoming better able to address your mental health needs. My primary areas of specialization are Adjustment Problems; Anger Management; Anxiety; Depression; Trauma/PTSD; and Domestic Violence. In addition, I also provide treatment for First Responders; Grief; Multi-Cultural Issues; Racial Trauma; Relationships; Stress-including Workplace, Veterans & more. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-AZ/LICSW-WA), I earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Additionally, I have 8.5 years of formal experience as a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP).
During initial sessions, we will discuss your unique history and concerns. From there, we will then work together to come up with an agreed upon plan for treatment.
As an accepting and caring therapist, I am committed to assisting with meeting mental and emotional health goals. I strive to create and maintain a safe, harmonious, and therapeutic environment where others can feel free to share without fear, shame, or guilt.
My ideal client is someone who shows up willing to do the work. Beyond the courage it takes to begin counseling in the first place, I enjoy working with clients who are ready to look inward, challenge old patterns, ideas, behaviors and actions, and actively participate in their own healing. I work best with individuals who understand that therapy isn’t passive — it’s a collaborative process. They’re open to reflection, willing to try new strategies, and committed to growth even when it feels uncomfortable. My ideal client doesn’t have to know how to change or manage every aspect of their life right away; they just need the willingness to engage, be honest, and stay present in the process.
CBT assists with being able to process through triggering events, and oft times what happens subsequent to that. During our time work together, we won’t just talk about thoughts, feelings and actions — we’ll examine them, and possibly both challenge and reshape them so they support the life you’re trying to build.
I use DBT to help clients build practical, real‑world skills for managing intense emotions and improving relationships. In session, we focus on four core areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I guide clients through learning and practicing these skills, then support them in applying them outside of session.
I utilize mindfulness throughout the therapeutic process to help clients slow down, observe their internal experience, and respond rather than react. This might involve breathing work, grounding exercises, or guided awareness practices. Mindfulness builds emotional regulation and self‑awareness, allowing clients to notice patterns earlier and make intentional choices.
Having a person‑centered foundation shapes many aspects of my clinical approach. I attempt to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood—without judgment. This approach allows clients to explore their experiences openly, while trusting that the therapeutic relationship is a safe haven for growth. I honor your lived experience, and support you in discovering solutions for challenges.
