(she/her)
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona. I received my master's degree from Northern Arizona University and have been practicing for 18 years. I help individuals with trauma, depression or anxiety reduce symptoms through the community mental health system. I am currently working on my doctorate degree in order to assist patients with chronic medical conditions. I want to help my patients achieve their identified goals to improve their lives!
In the first session, we will have brief introductions, and I will assess what concerns you the most in order to create a plan to meet your goals.
I have worked in community mental health for years and gained experience with a variety of patients. This has given me the opportunity to gain experience in helping patients meet their goals through a variety of counseling strategies.
I work with individuals with trauma, depression, or anxiety with symptom reduction and ability to manage symptoms long-term.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have utilized CBT for depression and anxiety. I have used it with sexual addiction and other addictive disorders.
Mind-body approach
Many individuals experience somatic conditions and the use of mind-body approach helps reduce somatic symptoms.
EMDR
I have used this modality for brief traumas as well as with individuals with significant trauma.
Eclectic
I use the therapeutic approach that is the most effective for the patient's needs.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use solution focused therapy in EAP sessions to help patients complete the issue that brought them to therapy.

Gretchen always makes me feel protected to speak freely and openly. She is focused on helping me recognize real thoughts and feelings and what's "stinking thinking." She provides me tools to recognize and stop those unwanted feelings and thoughts. Ive never been more comfortable with a provider and she always tells me the direct and honest truth without being hurtful. She's one of my favorite people!
