My name is Olga and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of NJ, AZ and FL. I have a lot of experience working with a diverse population of clients with different diagnosis and in a variety of mental health settings including inpatient, outpatient, psychiatric hospitals, group homes, private in home therapy, schools and virtually (audio, audiovisual and livechat). I specialize in ERP for clients experiencing symptoms of OCD and HRT for clients experiencing BFRB's and tic disorders. I am eclectic in my approach to therapy and some of the alternate treatment modalities that I use include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused brief therapy, mindfulness based therapy, etc. I hope to build a strong and trusting relationship with all of my clients and I believe that therapy should be a safe and non-judgmental environment where client's can work toward their goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, I spend time obtaining background information regarding my client to get to know my client and assess their needs for a specific and appropriate treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic approach is warm and non judgmental and I believe that it is important for my clients to feel safe and understood during therapy sessions and that they leave sessions better than the way they originally started.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

During cognitive behavioral therapy, I help guide clients to identify negative thought patterns and to challenge and modify those negative thought patterns to healthier thoughts.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

During exposure response prevention, I help guide clients to identify their obsessions related to intrusive thoughts and their compulsions and gradually expose them to their fears & triggers (starting with the least anxiety provoking exposure) while helping them to resist their compulsions.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This is a future oriented type of treatment where I help guide clients to achieve specific measurable goals.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

During this form of therapy, I help guide clients to understand and manage their emotions while utilizing healthy coping mechanisms.
