New to Grow
I’m a Bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience supporting people through life’s most challenging and meaningful moments. I work with individuals navigating postpartum changes, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, cultural identity, and women’s issues. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood while building confidence, self-worth, and practical tools to move forward in a way that feels true to you. **Se Habla Español**
In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask a few questions about what brought you in, and you can share at your own pace—there’s no pressure. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping for and begin shaping goals together, while exploring approaches that may fit your needs. You’re always welcome to ask questions. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and more at ease as we begin this work together.
One of my strengths as a therapist is helping people feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. I bring empathy and curiosity into each session, creating a space where clients can be open without feeling judged. I’m good at noticing patterns and emotions that might be hard to put into words, and I work alongside clients to find what feels meaningful and doable for them. I also focus on helping people build real-life tools so they can feel more confident navigating challenges on their own.
My ideal client is an adult who feels stuck in their current life or is working through the impact of past trauma. I especially enjoy supporting first-generation individuals navigating cultural expectations and working to shift generational patterns. I also work with women experiencing postpartum challenges as they adjust emotionally and practically to motherhood, as well as people managing work-life balance or going through major life changes. I work best with clients who are open to reflecting on their experiences, exploring patterns, and working together in therapy to create meaningful change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help you focus on what’s already working in your life. Together, we will identify your strengths, set meaningful goals, and build practical steps toward the changes you want to see.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
My approach incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you navigate challenging thoughts and feelings without feeling overwhelmed by them. We’ll focus on what’s most important to you and take small, purposeful steps in that direction.
EMDR
With EMDR, I help you safely process difficult memories so they become less overwhelming over time. This can create space for new perspectives, increased calm, and a greater sense of control in your day-to-day life.
Somatic
I incorporate somatic therapy by helping you tune into how your body holds stress and emotions. Together, we’ll use simple, body-based techniques to support regulation, release tension, and help you feel more grounded.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT-informed skills in my work to help clients better understand and manage their emotions, handle stress more effectively, and improve relationships. I often focus on practical tools like mindfulness, coping strategies, and communication skills that clients can use in their everyday lives.
