Hi, I’m Bianca Chavez, a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Untamed Rose Therapy. I have over 10 years of experience in community mental health, intensive outpatient therapy, and group practice. I currently provide virtual therapy for adults throughout Arizona. I know reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. Finding someone you feel comfortable with matters, and I want my clients to feel like they can come as they are and talk openly about what’s happening in their lives. I’ve had the opportunity to work with people through many different seasons of life. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to start. Sometimes knowing that you want something to feel different is enough. Sessions are available in English and Spanish. Si te sientes más cómodo/a hablando en español, este puede ser un espacio para hablar de tu vida, tus experiencias y lo que necesitas con respeto por tu cultura, tus valores y tu historia.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re not sure what to expect or where to begin. It’s completely okay to feel nervous. Our first session is a chance to slow down and talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been difficult lately, and what you hope might feel different. You don’t need to prepare, have the right words, or tell your whole story at once. You can share what feels comfortable. I’ll ask questions to get to know you, understand what you’ve been experiencing, and learn what you’re hoping for from therapy. We’ll also have time for your questions, talk through any concerns you have, and discuss what future sessions may look like. By the end, you’ll have a better sense of what to expect and what we can focus on together moving forward.
I bring warmth, honesty, curiosity, and a genuine interest in understanding the person behind what brings them to therapy. I listen closely to what has shaped your story, including family, culture, relationships, past experiences, and the expectations you may be carrying. As a bilingual, first generation therapist, I have personal understanding of the pressure that can come with family roles, trying to meet other people’s expectations, balancing different parts of your identity, and feeling pulled between the life you want and the life others may expect from you. This perspective helps me look at the bigger picture rather than focusing only on what is happening on the surface. My hope is that you feel understood as a whole person and have space to explore what matters to you.
You may be the person others depend on, even when you feel emotionally tired yourself. You may be overthinking, feeling stuck, or wondering why certain experiences from the past still affect you. Maybe you’re adjusting to life after having a baby, navigating relationship stress, trying to set boundaries, or facing a change that has left you unsure of what comes next. You may also be figuring out how to honor your family and culture while making choices that feel right for your own life. Family expectations, first generation experiences, identity, and belonging can be a lot to hold. If any of this feels familiar, I may be a good fit for what you’re looking for. My work looks beyond symptoms to better understand what may be underneath what you’re experiencing, how your experiences have shaped you, and what you want moving forward.

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help you focus on what’s already working in your life. Together, we will identify your strengths, set meaningful goals, and build practical steps toward the changes you want to see.
My approach incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you navigate challenging thoughts and feelings without feeling overwhelmed by them. We’ll focus on what’s most important to you and take small, purposeful steps in that direction.
With EMDR, I help you safely process difficult memories so they become less overwhelming over time. This can create space for new perspectives, increased calm, and a greater sense of control in your day-to-day life.
I incorporate somatic therapy by helping you tune into how your body holds stress and emotions. Together, we’ll use simple, body-based techniques to support regulation, release tension, and help you feel more grounded.
I use DBT-informed skills in my work to help clients better understand and manage their emotions, handle stress more effectively, and improve relationships. I often focus on practical tools like mindfulness, coping strategies, and communication skills that clients can use in their everyday lives.
