New to Grow
Hi, I’m Gitty. I’m a licensed therapist, parent educator, and the founder of NeuroWise Therapeutics, where I help children, adults, couples, and families better understand their minds, emotions, and relationships. My work is grounded in the belief that people don’t need to be “fixed” — they need support, insight, and the right tools to feel confident and capable. I combine neuroscience, practical skills, and a warm, compassionate approach to help clients calm their nervous system, strengthen connection, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is always to help you feel empowered, understood, and more at home in yourself and your relationships.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is a chance for us to slow down and get to know each other in a comfortable, supportive space. I’ll listen carefully to your story, what’s been feeling hard lately, and what you’re hoping will change. Together, we’ll begin making sense of what you’re experiencing and how your brain, emotions, and relationships may be connected. You can expect warmth, clarity, and practical next steps — not judgment or pressure. Most clients leave the first session already feeling understood, relieved, and with a few simple tools they can start using right away.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength is helping people understand themselves in a way that feels clear, compassionate, and empowering. Over the years, I’ve intentionally focused my work on truly seeing challenges from each client’s perspective and breaking down complex emotional and brain-based patterns into simple, practical steps. When people understand why their thoughts, anxiety, or behaviors are happening, they no longer feel overwhelmed or “broken” — change starts to feel logical and achievable. My goal is always for clients to leave sessions feeling calmer, more confident, and equipped with tools they can actually use.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with thoughtful, motivated individuals, couples, and parents who want to better understand themselves and create real, lasting change. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, OCD, or feeling stuck in stressful patterns and are looking for clear, practical tools that actually work. Whether you’re a parent wanting to feel more confident guiding your child, a couple hoping to reconnect, or an individual looking to manage anxiety/OCD and stress, you don’t have to have it all figured out — just a willingness to learn and try something new. If you value insight, connection, and practical tools you can use in everyday life, we’ll likely be a great fit.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My approach to CBT is grounded in neuroscience and taught in a warm, practical, and empowering way. Together, we explore how the brain creates emotional reactions through learned thought patterns and stress responses. Rather than judging or “fixing” these patterns, we gently build awareness and learn new ways to respond. Clients gain clear, easy-to-use tools to calm their nervous system, shift unhelpful thinking, and feel more confident, resilient, and in control in everyday life.
Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT)
Empowering parents is at the heart of this approach. Parent–Child Interaction Therapy strengthens the relationship between parents and children while building practical skills that create calmer, more confident families. I coach parents in real time, helping them better understand their child’s emotional world, respond with warmth and clarity, and set limits with confidence. As connection grows, behaviors naturally improve. Parents leave feeling capable, supported, and equipped with tools they can use every day at home.
Couples Counseling
As a Gottman-trained therapist, I use research-based methods to help couples feel safe, heard, and connected again. In a calm, structured space, I guide partners to slow down reactive patterns, understand each other’s emotional needs, and communicate with more clarity and care. Rather than assigning blame, we focus on practical tools for listening, repairing conflict, and strengthening trust. Couples leave feeling more like a team, with skills they can use every day to create a more supportive, loving relationship.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Grounded in neuroscience, this approach helps clients understand how attention and awareness directly influence the brain and nervous system. Through guided mindfulness practices and occasional biofeedback tools, clients learn to recognize early signs of stress and actively regulate their body’s response. This builds lasting skills for emotional balance, focus, and resilience.
Eclectic
My work is grounded in a client-centered, relational approach inspired by Carl Rogers, where safety, empathy, and trust come first. From that foundation, I thoughtfully draw from different evidence-based methods depending on each person’s unique needs and nervous system state in the moment. Rather than applying one technique to everyone, I tailor each session to what will feel most supportive and effective, helping clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with tools that truly fit them.
