My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my experience, CBT is a powerful approach for addressing negative thought patterns and fostering healthier coping mechanisms. Its structured nature also makes it effective for setting and achieving short-term goals. Individuals can create meaningful changes in their emotional and behavioral responses by actively engaging with their thoughts and feelings.

Compassion Focused

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) is a type of therapy that helps people build self-compassion and kindness towards themselves, especially when they’re feeling distressed or struggling. It teaches individuals to recognize and challenge harsh self-criticism, replacing it with a more nurturing and understanding approach. By developing a compassionate mindset, people can improve their emotional well-being, reduce feelings of shame or anxiety, and foster a greater sense of connection with themselves and others. Essentially, CFT encourages us to treat ourselves like we would treat a good friend in tough times.

Strength-Based

Strength-based is a type of therapy that emphasizes identifying and building on a person’s existing strengths and positive qualities rather than focusing solely on their problems or weaknesses. The idea is to help individuals recognize their skills, talents, and past successes, which can empower them to tackle challenges and improve their lives. By shifting the focus to what they do well, people can boost their confidence and motivation, making it easier to create positive change and achieve their goals. It’s all about harnessing what’s already good within us to overcome obstacles.
