New to Grow
As a Christian and a counselor, I believe everyone deserves grace and mercy, that every person has inherent value and every person deserves a life filled with joy and peace. I created Manifold Grace Christian Counseling because of the richness and diverse nature of God’s grace which manifests itself in various forms and expressions. Humility, integrity, compassion, kindness and courage are a few biblical principles that I adhere to in my professional and personal life. Working within the addiction/recovery community for the last 5 years, I have discovered that each person strives to be the best version of themselves. Adhering to a person-centered holistic approach, I engage with clients utilizing MI, DBT, CBT, EMDR and a trauma-informed approach to promote healing. I discovered that ‘Time, Patience and Effort’ is a key formula to lasting change, personal growth, building new foundations, self-discovery and awareness. If you are interested in learning more (about yourself) in a safe and nonjudgemental environment, please reach out. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, what will you do different?
Our first session is a meet and greet. This is important to me because feeling comfortable and safe is important to our therapeutic relationship
I have always been told I am great listener and as I listen, I try to ask the right questions in order to help a client find their answers. As someone who has experienced her own personal childhood traumas, it is important to me to help others find healing and to experience their best life.
An ideal client is someone who is willing to be challenged, to be willing to question with boldness, who is willing to do the hard work and who is not afraid to cry. An ideal client is someone who wants to change their life, to change behaviors that are negatively impacting them. A ideal client is someone who wakes up every day and asks themselves "today is the first day of the rest of my life, what am I going to do different."
For those clients who are seeking to deep-dive into their trauma to find healing
Using the key principles of safety, trustworthiness, collaboration, empowerment and addressing cultural, gender and historical experiences of clients to provide the kind of environment where clients can heal, process and flourish.
Challenging the way we think, feel and act in order to progress and grow in our life.
Teaching and learning to utilize emotion regulation, mindfulness practices, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and wise mind to increase ones ability to manage their everyday life.
As a christian counselor, utilizing both psychological principles and spiritual beliefs to assist those clients who choose to incorporate their faith with their emotional healing.
