New to Grow
I am an AZ Licensed Profrssional Counselor and have a M.A. in Professional Counseling. My goal as a therapist is to meet individuals where they are in their lives and empower and support them as they transition. Are you a new mom or hoping to become one? Pregnant, feeling nervous, or sad? Or, perhaps you recently had a baby and are feeling overwhelmed? We are expected to be happy during this time, but many women are enduring stress: hormonal changes, balancing a job, sleep deprivation, and isolation. Maybe you have more than one child which is a huge adjustment in itself. The core of my practice revolves around perinatal/postpartum adjustment. However I also specialize in anxiety and depression which many are struggling during this hard time.
Our first session is the "getting to know you" session. Ill be gathering lots of information, history and reasons for wanting therapy. We can establish goals and answer any questions you may have. I try to make it as relaxed and supportive as possible.
My approach stands out for a few reasons. I have personal experience with perinatal mental health and understand it on a deep level. I have 10 years of experience working with women in this area. I try diligently to meet you where your at and work from there. We will make progress towards your goals while making sure you feel heard and validated at the same time.
My ideal client is in the perinatal population, fertility issues, miscarriage, pregnant, postpartum up to age 3 of child. Anything in the reproductive stage in a woman's life. They could be experiencing postpartum, depression, anxiety, new parenting issues, difficulty life transition, struggles with partner, self esteem, identify issues with this transition. Fertility, grief, anxiety, and difficulty conceiving. Mostly women between ages 18 and 45.

This is a very practical, structured approach — we won't just talk about the past, we'll focus on what's happening now and give you concrete tools you can use between sessions. A lot of my clients find it helpful because there's always something tangible to take home
