I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, and ongoing life stress. I believe therapy should feel steady and purposeful — a place where you can speak honestly about what’s heavy while also making meaningful progress. My style is calm, grounded, and direct. I listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we explore both where those patterns began and how they’re affecting your relationships, work, and sense of self today. I integrate EMDR, CBT, and ACT to address the root of distress while also building practical skills for emotional regulation and clearer decision-making. I value depth, but I also value structure — therapy should not feel aimless. I tend to work well with people who hold a lot together for others yet quietly carry internal stress, self-doubt, or unresolved experiences. I believe you don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. When someone is ready to look beneath the surface, not just manage symptoms but understand and shift what’s underneath, that’s where meaningful change begins.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll focus on understanding what brings you in and what you hope will feel different in your life. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about current stressors, relevant history, and patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, overwhelm, or relationship strain. There is no pressure to share everything at once — we move at a pace that feels steady and manageable. Many people feel unsure about what to expect in therapy. My goal in the first session is to create clarity. We’ll begin identifying themes, discuss your goals, and talk through how I typically structure our work using approaches like EMDR, CBT, or ACT when appropriate. You can expect a balance of listening, reflection, and gentle direction. I may offer early observations or small strategies to begin building momentum right away. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of what we’re working toward and whether the fit feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to balance steadiness with forward movement. Clients often share that they feel both supported and gently challenged in our work. I create a calm, grounded environment while also helping identify patterns that may be maintaining distress. I pay close attention to how past experiences shape present reactions — especially in areas of anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, and relational dynamics. Rather than staying at the surface, I help connect insight to action. This means we don’t just understand the pattern; we work to shift it. I am comfortable working at depth, particularly when addressing trauma and long-standing emotional themes, while also providing practical tools that support change between sessions. Therapy with me is collaborative and intentional. I value structure, clarity, and measurable progress. Clients who tend to benefit most from my approach are those who are thoughtful, motivated, and open to both reflection and skill-building. My aim is to help you feel more regulated, more confident in your decisions, and less controlled by anxiety or old narratives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Many of my clients are capable, high-functioning adults who appear “put together” on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted internally. They may struggle with overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or unresolved past experiences that continue to influence present relationships and decision-making. Some feel stuck in patterns they logically understand but cannot seem to change. Others carry long-standing stress, childhood dynamics, or relational wounds that surface in subtle but persistent ways. They are often insightful and self-aware, yet still feel frustrated by their emotional reactions or internal pressure to “handle everything.” The individuals I work best with are motivated for growth and open to deeper exploration. They value structure, evidence-based strategies, and a therapist who balances warmth with directness. They want more than short-term symptom relief — they want lasting change. Together, we focus on reducing anxiety, processing trauma safely and effectively, strengthening emotional regulation, and building a more grounded, confident sense of self. Therapy becomes not just a space to cope, but a space to recalibrate, gain clarity, and move forward with intention.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift patterns of thinking that contribute to anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. Together, we examine how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, and develop practical tools to interrupt unhelpful cycles. CBT provides clear, actionable strategies that clients can apply in daily life to build confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience.

EMDR

I have six years of experience integrating EMDR into my trauma-informed practice. EMDR helps clients process distressing memories, reduce emotional reactivity, and release long-standing negative beliefs that continue to impact present functioning. Treatment is thoughtfully paced and includes preparation and stabilization to ensure clients feel safe and supported throughout the process.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps clients develop psychological flexibility and build a life aligned with their values. Rather than fighting difficult thoughts or emotions, ACT teaches skills to respond to them in healthier ways while moving toward meaningful goals. This approach is especially helpful for individuals who feel stuck in overthinking, perfectionism, or self-criticism.
