What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Life is a rollercoaster of emotions and you do not have to go through this alone. I understand we all have issues. I am not here to tell you what you want to be hear but to tell you what you need to hear. I am upfront and to the point. I will be encourage you and help you in this journey of life but you need to put in the work. I will personalize your treatment plan and goals for what you want to work on. I may assign homework for you to work on in between sessions to help aid your counseling experience. I hope we get the chance to work together soon. Counseling is a collaborative process where we work together to develop goals. I will not be acting superior or demanding things from you. My goals is to be an aid and a positive support to you. We will have tele-health sessions via a secure video portal. In our first session we will create a treatment plan together, go over goals, and I will get to know you. We will set up weekly counseling and adjust how often I see you based on your progress made in counseling. If you are an adult we will be doing more talk therapy, person centered therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. If the client is a child I offer virtual sand tray therapy, virtual art therapy, and virtual play therapy options to help your child open up. I hope I get the chance to work with you soon.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy operates on the humanistic belief that the client is inherently driven toward and has the capacity for growth and self-actualization; it relies on this force for therapeutic change. The role of the counselor is to provide a nonjudgmental environment conducive to honest self-exploration.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to reduce symptoms of various mental health conditions, primarily depression and anxiety disorders.

Narrative

Narrative therapy is a form of psychotherapy that seeks to help patients identify their values and the skills associated with them. It provides the patient with knowledge of their ability to live these values so they can effectively confront current and future problems.
