I’m a therapist with over 20 years of experience and a graduate of the University of Southern California. I help adults heal from generational trauma, strengthen self-worth, navigate relationships, and break patterns that may have been passed down through generations. My approach is compassionate, intentional, and collaborative. I help clients understand the roots of their struggles, reconnect with their inner strength, establish healthier boundaries, and develop a stronger sense of self. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. Together, we can make sense of where you’ve been, understand how it shapes where you are today, and create meaningful change for where you want to go.

Hi, I'm Juliana! I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2014; graduated from Cal State Northridge in 2008. I value the importance of human connection and collaboration. The relationship and connection which a client and therapist develop between them is the single biggest factor for successful psychotherapy. Thank you for taking the first step in taking care of yourself and your needs.
I feel very fortunate to have grown up in the Bay Area, but never truly appreciated it until I left and came back. I attended high school in Marin at the Branson School in Ross. After High School I left for Wheaton College in Massachusetts where I earned a B.A. in Psychology. I moved to Florida where I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Prior to earning my Masters in Psychology I spent a number of years working in child and adolescent residential treatment centers in both San Francisco and Orlando, Florida. It was at this time that I fell in love with working with adolescents, adults, and their families. After graduate school, I found myself working for, and soon thereafter managing, an inpatient treatment program for adolescents who had experienced severe trauma.
I returned to California for good in 2011 where I started working as the Lead Therapist for the Adolescent Outpatient Program at Fremont Hospital. I opened a part time private practice in 2012 and transitioned to a full time practice in San Francisco in early 2013.

I help clients identify patterns in their struggles and successes, so they can understand themselves more fully and move forward with greater clarity and strength.
My therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, attachment theory, psychodynamic principles, and strength-based practices. I am a LPCC based in California, offering bilingual therapy in English and Spanish. With over ten years of experience, I provide culturally responsive, evidence informed care to adults and parents. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, identity development, and major life transitions, including relationship changes, loss, and shifts in family, work, or personal roles. Many of the individuals I work with feel disconnected from themselves, stuck in familiar relational patterns, or uncertain about how to move forward after a separation or significant life change.
My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience. As a Latinx immigrant, I bring a deep understanding of cultural identity and the complexities of navigating multiple cultural contexts into my work. I also draw from my lived experience as a parent to a nonbinary adult, which informs my commitment to gender-affirming and inclusive care. My approach is collaborative and empathetic, focused on helping clients reconnect with themselves, find emotional steadiness, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
While depression and anxiety may be reasonable responses to your life experiences and the state of the world, that doesn't mean you have to suffer alone. You deserve support. I strive to create an environment where you can safely lean into difficult feelings and process your past and present without shame or judgment. We will work collaboratively to unpack the impact of systems, relationships, and intersectional identities (i.e. women of color, immigrant background, cultural stress) on your well-being. Together, we’ll explore healing as an act of empowerment and transformation.

I started helping those who are seeking to up-level their experiences and shine as their true and authentic selves in 2019. My journey first started in residential treatment facilities where I held space for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. This population ranged from men's only, women's only and LGBTQ+ Many of these individuals also struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders. I have also had the opportunity to work with adolescents at risk of sex trafficking. This work is extremely rewarding as the clients are at an age where they are most influential and willing.
I am a deeply spiritual person and practice in the study of yoga and meditation and participate in somatic healings such as Kundalini Light Intergration (KALI) and breathworks. I am also a level two Reiki practitioner (training to become a master) and a certified personal trainer. When I am not holding space for healing, I enjoy being in the outdoors, surfing, climbing, reading and cooking nutritious and fun to eat meals. I hope to continue the journey of providing a safe space for individuals where healing can occur for years to come.
I offer sessions both early in the morning (5am - 7am) and later in the evening (6pm - 9pm) to accommodate those who work nine to five or those who just prefer early morning or evening therapy sessions.
