As a board-certified psychotherapist, I have had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of remarkable clients. My professional journey encompasses assisting parents in the reunification process with their children, guiding young adolescents through the complexities of emerging emotions, and supporting older adults as they navigate the challenges of lifelong illnesses. My education is a bachelor's degree in child and Adolescent Development and a master's degree in social work.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our initial meeting, you take the wheel while I accompany you as a passenger. My primary goal is to gather insights that will help us cultivate an environment where you feel secure and supported. Together, we will outline our aspirations and mutual expectations. You are free to share as much or as little as you wish. Remember, every remarkable journey begins with a single step forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Each individual has unique needs, making a standardized approach to therapy ineffective. Building a strong therapeutic relationship and identifying specific goals are essential for ensuring that you feel valued and understood. While challenges may arise along the way, rest assured that you will have support throughout your journey.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
In my professional journey, I've had the privilege of serving diverse communities, from the exuberance of youth to the wisdom of older adults. Despite our differences in age and appearance, the universal thread that binds us is the need for robust mental health care. It's my mission to deliver unparalleled support for the unique challenges my clients face, be it anxiety, depression, socialization, or relationship issues.
Compassion Focused
Compassion-Focused Therapy is an approach that helps people who are often very hard on themselves develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with their own thoughts and emotions. Many of us learned to cope by being self-critical or constantly pushing ourselves, but over time this can increase stress, anxiety, shame, or burnout. In my work, CFT helps clients understand that these patterns are not personal failures—they are learned responses shaped by life experiences, stress, and how our brains are wired.
Strength-Based
With a strengths-based approach, we will not only focus on what is wrong but also focus on what is already working. By focusing on your existing abilities to build confidence by recognizing your resilience, effort, and growth.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
The goal of this method is to Respond to challenges more flexibly, reducing emotional distress and developing lasting skills for coping and problem-solving. We will collaborate on examining your thoughts and beliefs that affect your mood in order to reshape those thoughts into more balanced, realistic ones.

My first session with Andrew was after Gary from KP said he was the closest match and had an open slot on Tuesday evenings. After the first session, I can see us working together. Andrew is very patient, listens well, and clearly sets expectations. He is also very down to earth. I’m looking forward to our next session.
