My approach integrates evidence-based and mind-body techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and clinical hypnotherapy. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and EMDR trained, and I specialize in helping clients work through past experiences, shift unhelpful patterns, and reduce emotional distress at a deeper level. In your first session, you can expect to be met with empathy, kindness, and genuine support. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and safe to share at your own pace. We will begin by getting to know you, exploring what has brought you to therapy, any current challenges you’re facing, and important background information that helps me understand your experiences more fully. We’ll also talk about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy and begin identifying clear, meaningful goals that align with the life you want to create. This session is also an opportunity for us to build a strong therapeutic connection and ensure you feel comfortable moving forward. I’ll walk you through how I work, answer any questions you may have, and collaborate with you to create a plan that feels supportive and effective. As we continue working together, therapy becomes an active and collaborative process. I meet you where you are in each session while also helping you move forward with intention. You can expect practical tools, guided exercises, and strategies to support your growth both in and outside of sessions so you’re not just talking about change, you’re actively creating it.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize patterns in your thinking that may be holding you back. Together, we’ll work to reframe those thoughts into more balanced and supportive perspectives—helping you feel more empowered, motivated, and confident as you move toward your goals.

EMDR

I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps you process and release unresolved experiences that may be contributing to emotional distress. EMDR works at a deeper level to reduce triggers, shift internal responses, and support lasting change. My EMDR work is informed by the S.A.F.E. model (Somatic and Attachment-Focused EMDR), which emphasizes safety, nervous system awareness, and the connection between mind and body. This approach takes into account early attachment experiences and the ways trauma responses can become ingrained patterns over time. By focusing on both emotional and physiological responses, we work together to gently process experiences in a way that feels safe, supportive, and manageable. I thoughtfully integrate EMDR with other therapeutic modalities to create a personalized, well-rounded approach helping you move forward with greater ease, resilience, and confidence.

Hypnotherapy

I incorporate clinical hypnotherapy as a powerful tool to support change at the subconscious level where many of our patterns, beliefs, and automatic responses are formed. This approach allows us to move beyond surface-level insight and create deeper, more lasting shifts in thoughts, behaviors, and emotional experiences. Through guided, focused states of relaxation, we work to align your subconscious patterns with your goals helping you feel more in control, grounded, and empowered in your daily life. Alongside this work, I provide practical techniques to help you manage stress and reinforce progress between sessions

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate mindfulness-based approaches to help you develop a deeper sense of awareness, grounding, and emotional balance. Rather than getting caught in cycles of anxiety or overwhelm, mindfulness allows you to observe your internal experiences with greater clarity and intention. This work supports you in staying present, reducing reactivity, and creating space between your thoughts and your responses helping you feel more centered, in control, and aligned in your daily life.

Porscha from the beginning created an environment of non-judgement and professionalism. She's a great listener and does a great job of speaking in a way where you feel she hears you but also like she's not trying to force anything on you. It's almost like she guides you to find the solution yourself which helps it resonate with me on a deeper level.
