LMFT, 7 years of experience
New to Grow
Hola! I go by Ruth! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). For me, therapy is a place where you can be you, be free of judgment, and, most importantly, connect and feel understood with whatever struggles are taking place. My communication style is warm and encouraging. Creating a safe space and an accommodating environment in sessions is always my priority.
A first session is a place where you can be you, where you feel safe and its judgment free.
My experience for the last 14 years has been in working with at-risk youth and their families, dealing with abuse, adversity, and complex trauma. This clinical experience inspired me to further my education and continue to show up for those in struggle. This is truly my passion.
I have found that my experience and passion are working with teenagers and adults who may be struggling with life transitions, societal challenges, and/or trauma. These challenges are often accompanied by stress, depression, and anxiety. It is an honor to work closely with someone in navigating the underlying causes of these symptoms and in learning ways to cope with such difficulties.
My approach in therapy is to give my clients the autonomy to identify their challenges and prioritize their own goals. I approach therapy with a client-centered lens, and my focus is always to set a safe place for my clients.
