In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is really about getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable. We’ll start with introductions and I’ll explain how I work, what you can expect from therapy, and answer any questions you have. From there, we’ll complete an intake where I learn more about what’s bringing you in, what’s been going on, and what you’d like to change. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying clear goals so our work together feels focused and intentional from the start.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to stay focused and structured while still keeping the work collaborative and supportive. I naturally look for what’s already strong and working in your life, and I help you build from there rather than focusing only on what’s wrong. I also bring accountability into the process—together we’ll set clear goals, create practical action steps, and regularly check in on progress so therapy feels purposeful and productive.

My ideal client is an adult individual who’s feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just not where they want to be and is ready to make practical changes without committing to years of therapy. Solution Focused Brief Treatment

When I start with a new teletherapy client, I usually focus on identifying one clear, specific goal we can realistically work on in a short period of time. I’ll ask questions that highlight what’s already working and look for small, practical changes they can try between sessions to build momentum. I also stay really transparent about our time frame so our work feels focused, intentional, and outcome-driven.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When we start CBT together, we’re going to look at how your thoughts, feelings, and actions all connect and affect each other. We’ll pick one main issue you want to work on, and I’ll help you notice any unhelpful thought patterns and practice looking at situations in a more balanced way. I’ll also give you small, manageable things to try between sessions so you can start seeing changes in your everyday life.
