Your life is changing, and you’re not sure why you’re not handling it better. In my work with clients, I’ve seen that even good changes can make usually well-adjusted people struggle with day-to-day stress that didn’t seem to be a challenge in the past. I’ve worked with people who struggle with communicating emotions, prioritizing themselves, or feeling like their best is not good enough. If you feel like you can identify with those experiences and are not sure how to change things, I’d love to work with you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session, I would like the opportunity to get to know you, and learn more about what you are hoping to get out of therapy. Whether it's your first time, or rejoining therapy, let’s talk about what's not working for you right now. I typically ask what changes you anticipate to notice in your life that will indicate to you that therapy is working. Let's talk. Schedule your first session above.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Setting goals can be daunting, and I have found that we sometimes tend to focus on the bigger picture of what we want to accomplish. Oftentimes, this can leave us feeling stuck and unsure of where to start. I support clients in learning how to identify when this is happening, and how to take a step back to acknowledge our accomplishments along the way.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Maybe you're stressed at work, or other major life changes are causing you to feel overwhelmed and you're having a hard time enjoying your hobbies or are not including them at all. My goal is for you to feel confident in expressing your emotions, learning how to prioritize yourself, and feel present in your day.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

The idea is that I will be supporting clients in identifying symptoms that are making it difficult for them to do things they want or need to do in their day to day lives, or maybe they already know what they are. I hope to provide coping skills that will allow you to manage these symptoms so you can get back to doing what you want or need to do, with skills practice outside of session. Sessions are meant to be short term, ending treatment when clients feel confident in using the skills they have learned and practiced in therapy.
