Jenna Gleason
Hi, I’m Jenna, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with preteens, teens, young adults, and women who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationships, family dynamics, identity, and major life transitions. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as your genuine self without feeling like you have to have everything figured out. My approach is warm, supportive, collaborative, and individualized. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with each client to understand what they need and what will be most helpful for them. In sessions, we may spend time processing emotions and experiences, identifying patterns, building coping skills, working through relationships, setting boundaries, or figuring out practical next steps. I incorporate approaches such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and creative interventions depending on the person and what they are working through. My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and supported while also helping you build the skills and confidence to navigate life outside of therapy. You don’t have to know exactly where to start—we can figure that out together.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity to get comfortable, get to know each other, and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what you hope to get from therapy, and what feels most important to focus on. You don’t need to know exactly what to say or where to begin—I’ll help guide the conversation. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of what we can work on together.
Strengths
I bring warmth, authenticity, creativity, and genuine curiosity to my sessions. I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being honest about what they are experiencing without worrying about judgment. I also bring a collaborative and flexible approach. I don’t believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone, so I adapt my approach based on the client, their goals, and what feels most helpful. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions or understanding patterns, while others may involve learning practical coping strategies, problem-solving, or working through a specific situation. One of my strengths is balancing emotional support with practical tools. I want clients to have space to feel and process their emotions while also developing skills they can actually use in their everyday lives. I also value creativity in therapy. Sometimes talking through something directly is helpful, and sometimes a different approach can make it easier to understand or express what is going on. I enjoy finding ways to make therapy feel engaging, individualized, and relevant to the person sitting across from me. Most importantly, I bring a genuine desire to understand each client as a whole person. My goal is for clients to feel heard, respected, and supported while also feeling empowered to make their own choices and move toward the life they want.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are teens, young adults, and women who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of what comes next. They may be navigating relationships, family dynamics, school or work stress, self-esteem, boundaries, identity, or a major life transition. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin therapy. I work best with clients who are open to exploring their experiences, building new skills, and creating meaningful change at their own pace.
Treatment methods
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, meaning I see you as the expert on your own experiences. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself. I tailor treatment to your individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and develop more helpful ways of responding to challenges. I also use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to support emotional regulation, coping, mindfulness, communication, and relationships. I may also incorporate solution-focused approaches, emotional processing, and creative interventions depending on what feels most helpful for you. Together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing, identify your goals, and build practical tools while creating space for meaningful reflection and growth.
