About me

My name is Lucy and I look forward to working with you on your wellness journey. I believe that therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted for who you are. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. Together, we’ll work to better understand what you’re experiencing, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and develop practical tools that you can use in your everyday life. I believe therapy isn’t about changing who you are—it’s about helping you better understand yourself and feel more confident in how you respond to life’s challenges.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to accomplish. We’ll begin identifying your goals and explore how I can best support you. My goal is to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. You don’t need to have everything figured out—we’ll take it one step at a time, together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my approach different is that I balance compassion and understanding with a solution-focused approach. I believe in meeting each client where they are, while also helping them identify practical strategies and meaningful steps toward positive change. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood while also feeling empowered to move forward.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate from Columbia University. I have over 5 years of experience supporting individuals in therapy, most specifically with anxiety, anger management, relationship concerns, and substance use disorders. Whether you’re struggling to manage difficult emotions, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, having difficulty navigating relationships, or looking for healthier ways to cope with life’s challenges, I provide a supportive space to understand what you’re experiencing and work toward meaningful change. You are taking the first step in prioritizing your mental health and wellbeing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is an approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. This helps in identifying unhelpful patterns and learning healthier ways to respond, so that you can better manage emotions and make positive changes in your everyday life.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy focuses on how early relationships and experiences can shape the way we connect with others today. It helps you better understand your relationship patterns, build healthier connections, and feel more secure and confident in your relationships.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-Focused CBT helps people process difficult or traumatic experiences while developing healthier ways to manage the thoughts, feelings, and reactions that can come with them.

Gottman method

The Gottman Method helps better understand relationship patterns, improve communication, manage conflict, and build greater connection, trust, and intimacy.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) helps people better manage emotions, cope with stress, improve relationships, and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult situations.
