I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely comfortable, understood, and able to be yourself. I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where you can talk openly about what’s going on in your life without fear of judgment. We will work together at a pace that feels right for you, exploring what matters most and finding practical, meaningful ways to help you feel more grounded, connected, and confident moving forward.
Our first therapy session is really getting to know each other and helping you feel comfortable. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope to get out of our time together. There is no pressure to share everything at once- we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You will have plenty of time to ask questions and get a sense of whether I feel like the right fit for you.
One of my strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a space that feels warm, genuine and down-to-earth. I want my clients to feel like they can show up as themselves without worrying about saying the “right” thing. I bring compassion and curiosity to our work while also offering thoughtful feedback, practical tools, and gentle challenges when helpful. My approach is collaborative and personalized- I take the time to understand who you are as a whole person and tailor to what feels most meaningful and useful to you.
My ideal client is someone who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for a change. You don’t need to have everything figured out or even know exactly where to start. You may be navigating stress, relationships, life transitions, or patterns that no longer feel helpful. What matters most is a willingness to show up, be curious about yourself, and take things one step at a time. Together, we’ll create a supportive space where you can feel heard, gain a deeper understanding of yourself and work towards meaningful change that feels right for you.
I incorporate DBT- based skills into my work to help clients better understand and manage their emotions, cope with stressful situation, and navigate relationships more effectively. Together, we may practice mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and communication skills that can be used both in and outside of therapy. My goal is to make these tools practical, approachable, and relevant to your everyday life.
