What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. "What has happened to you that has you starting therapy? This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have educational, professional and lived experience. I am a parent, a daughter, a friend, boss, co-worker, significant other. I have experienced grief, loss, profound happiness, successes and failures. I provide therapy and have received therapy. I pull from all of those rolls and experiences when in session. I work hard at being impartial, considering all perspectives, emphasizing your strengths as person, and normalizing feelings and emotions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT for around 20 years and it is the approach that I start all therapy relationships with CBT teaches us to stop in the moment and acknowledge what we are thinking and how those thoughts affect our behavior.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma informed care is at the core of my work. As a therapist I work from a strength based perspective, emphasizing a client's strengths, and providing choice ensuring that the client has control of the dynamic.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I believe that mindfulness goes hand in hand with CBT interventions. Mindfulness therapy encourages clients to take control of their lives through action and behavior modification, recognizing where they are and what they need in the moment.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use solution focused therapy to assist clients to move through daily life stressors. Day to day life can become overwhelming sometimes. SFT allows for focused task orientated sessions that provide relatively quick and effective resolution
