I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that something isn't OK right now. That something might be new, or it might have been around a long time. You might be able to describe it perfectly, or you might just feel off without knowing why. Either way — you're here, and that's the only thing that matters right now. I start from wherever you are. No assumptions, no judgments, no one-size-fits-all approach. Just a genuine desire to understand you — what's brought you here, what you're carrying, and what you're hoping for. Therapy with me — whether you're coming alone or with a partner — tends to be honest and occasionally even a little lighthearted. The human experience isn't black and white, and neither is the work we'll do together. What stays consistent is that you'll have a space that belongs to you, where nothing you say or feel changes how I show up for you. For couples, that space belongs to both of you equally. I don't take sides. What I do is help you see the pattern you're both caught in — because most of the time it's the cycle doing the damage, not each other. When that shifts, something else becomes possible. No matter what it is you are navigating — depression, relationships, identity, or the gap between how you show up and how you actually feel inside — you don't have to have it figured out to reach out.

Hi, I'm Ashley, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Reiki II practitioner. I believe that somewhere underneath the anxiety, the self-doubt, and the patterns that keep repeating, there is a version of you that already knows the way. My job isn't to fix you. It's to create a space steady enough that you can actually hear yourself. Together we get curious about the thoughts that won't quiet down, the emotions that feel bigger than the moment, the behaviors that keep showing up even when you don't want them to, and what all of it is actually trying to tell you. I utilize a holistic approach, bringing tools into our work that help you understand what's happening in your mind and body when you're overwhelmed, so you can actually do something about it instead of just surviving it. But more than any method or modality, I show up as a real person walking alongside you, trusting that you are the expert on your own life. If you're ready to listen to that wiser part of yourself and create meaningful change, I'd be honored to walk with you.

Life presents us all with challenges. Some are easier to navigate than others. When faced with obstacles it is easy to fall into negative thinking patterns, which can lead to feeling stuck and alone. This can contribute to symptoms of anxiety and depression. Together we will look at what may be triggering your current feelings and explore how to become unstuck in order to find connection and meaning in your life. I find immense joy in helping people identify their strengths and explore what may be getting in the way of moving forward. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in CT and NY. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University and have been working in the field of social work for over 25 years. Hi, I’m Jenna, a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with preteens, teens, young adults, and women who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationships, family dynamics, identity, and major life transitions. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as your genuine self without feeling like you have to have everything figured out. My approach is warm, supportive, collaborative, and individualized. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with each client to understand what they need and what will be most helpful for them. In sessions, we may spend time processing emotions and experiences, identifying patterns, building coping skills, working through relationships, setting boundaries, or figuring out practical next steps. I incorporate approaches such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and creative interventions depending on the person and what they are working through. My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and supported while also helping you build the skills and confidence to navigate life outside of therapy. You don’t have to know exactly where to start—we can figure that out together.

I’m Whitney Wilfred, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, but you can call me Whit. I believe therapy can be a space where you no longer have to carry everything alone. I work with adults, particularly women who are used to being the strong one—the nurturer, the achiever, the one everyone depends on—but who may be quietly navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or feeling disconnected from themselves. My approach is warm, honest, compassionate, and collaborative. I draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and DBT while creating space to explore not only what you’re experiencing, but what may be underneath it. I’m especially passionate about supporting Black and Brown women as they heal, build confidence, strengthen relationships, reconnect with themselves, and move from simply surviving life to living it more fully. And while I’ll bring my clinical experience into the room, I also believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to come alongside you as we make room for healing, growth, and the version of you that may have gotten buried underneath everything you’ve had to carry.

It’s tricky being a person. Talk therapy can help. Life can be complicated. Maybe you're going through a big change, feeling overwhelmed by your thoughts, or wondering why you've been stuck in the same patterns. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to figure it out on your own. Sometimes the ways we've always coped stop working as well as they once did. Therapy can help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. Talk therapy can help by providing a structured space to: Understand patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Work through stress, anxiety, grief, or relationship challenges. Develop coping strategies and communication skills. Explore personal goals, values, and identity. Feel heard by someone trained to listen without judgment. It's not only for crises or mental health diagnoses. Some people use therapy much like they would coaching, education, or preventative healthcare: as a way to better understand themselves and handle life's complexities.

I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Kori, the founder of Nest & Nourish: The Perinatal Health Collective. I created this space specifically to support women navigating the depths of postpartum, family planning, infertility, trauma, and anxiety. I know these transitions well, not just from my clinical training, but as someone who has navigated the heaviness of postpartum myself. This lived experience, combined with advanced training in tools like EMDR and Parts Work, allows me to offer a partnership that is both evidence-based and authentically human. Taking this step is brave, and I am honored that you are trusting me on your journey. I look forward to connecting and helping you find your footing.

I have worked for several non-profit organizations since earning my Master's degree in Counseling. This allowed me to learn about lots of different people, the challenges we face and the resources available to help. I have had my own full time counseling practice since 2018 in the Greater Danbury and New Milford, CT areas. I currently provide HIPAA compliant virtual/telehealth therapy 4 days per week along with in-person sessions 1 day weekly in Brookfield. I love meeting new people and learning about their challenges and strengths, hopes and dreams, mistakes and regrets. My goal is to get to know you better and to help you with support, validation, and insight, to teach you coping skills and help you reduce the distressful feelings you may be struggling with.

I am a compassionate, empathic therapist that seeks to empower clients to find tools to help ground, center and return back to themselves. I believe clients know themselves and what they have experienced, and hope for in the future most of all and wish to help them navigate back to their own inner wisdom and truth. I help clients built a skillset for them to use in future when they no longer need or wish to come to therapy and help client identify triggers and coping skills, explore gifts and need areas and reprocess painful stressors from their past.

Hello and welcome! My name is Simone and I am excited to start working with you. Before our first session, I want you to know that my goal is to make you feel heard, and show you that therapy can be a very relaxing, judgement free zone where you can be unapologetically you. Building a trusting and safe relationship is important to me as I am a non-judgmental, and honest person who truly does have a passion for working with people. It is my belief that YOU are the expert of your own story, and I am only here as a support character to help you accept or tweak what is no longer serving you on your life journey, or aid in supporting you to no longer second guess your gut instincts. If you're not finding your insurance on here, that doesn't mean I don't accept it, so shoot me an email!

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Connecticut. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Connecticut from New Haven to Springfield! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Connecticut.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
