New to Grow
With minimal support growing up, Iife connected me with mentors who modeled goal attainment. For decades, I masked severe asthma and medical conditions to be a dance and fitness professional. My body said stop, I listened and changed my path. My clinical experience over the past 15 years includes hospitals, universities, corrections, IOP programs, substance use treatment, and private practice. Presently, I work in private practice remotely. For more information, feel free to visit my website - temposalt.com
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
First sessions are not meant to be definitive. Our first session is meant for us both to determine whether we have rapport and understanding for the deeper work ahead. We all desire to be understood and validated, to be seen and heard. The first session is the opportunity to hear your story, collect additional information, and to conceptualize treatment goals. I look for your openness and willingness to commit to your growth.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
The feedback I receive identifies authenticity, frankness, and interactivity as my strengths. Studies have shown that the working relationship is a main factor for client's success. If something is not working, or we are misunderstanding - it means our session touched an important nerve. How we work through situations in session reflects how you work through similar situations in everyday life. So therapy works on your goals alongside being a practice place for new skills. Personally, I find neurodivergence a strength.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Do you desire to change a habitual reaction, regulate anger, take a radical step toward self-agency? Clients who seek my services generally work in stressful workplaces, carry responsibility for more than themselves, suffer with stress related medical conditions, and endure relationship strain. My hope is to engage you in therapeutic services before burnout forces a life reset.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness slows down your automatic physical responses to specific stressful circumstances or problem. This is how you dial up awareness for possible solutions. Mindfulness is very much a necessary, gateway skill to achieve a goal.
EMDR
Bilateral stimulation with use of tappers, for example, can also help you slow down and reflect. EMDR repetitively targets specific experiences for fuller understanding, desensitization to distress, and gaining objectivity (and more). It is both process and goal oriented.
Eclectic
While CBT focuses on your thoughts and Somatic based methods focus on your senses, an Eclectic approach offers flexibility to our work together. One method does not fit everyone's needs. Eclectic is a term to let you know I have experience and training in many methods to help you achieve your goal.
Hypnotherapy
I offer Clinical Hypnotherapy - process and solution oriented. It may not be covered by insurance.
