I provide an all-gender affirming, warm and non-judgemental approach that blends components of CBT, ACT, and narrative therapies to help you reconnect with your values, heal from the past, and create more joy in everyday life. I bring strong clinical assessment skills, a bit of awkward humor, and a healthy balance of optimism and realism into each session. I’m especially passionate about supporting clients who are exploring their neurodivergence, navigating gender identity, healing from religious trauma, or facing challenges in relationships. I see therapy as a partnership where we create space for both reflection and action. Together, we’ll uncover what’s holding you back, develop practical tools for change, and work toward a life that feels more aligned and authentic.
Our very first session will feel like a conversation about where you have been, what has gotten in the way, and where you would like to go from here. We'll talk about what you want out of this experience, and what you don't want. In future sessions I will meet you with what is top of your mind that day, while also circling back to the original goals you have set.
I specialize in working with autistic adults, as well as those impacted by childhood trauma and survivors of high-control groups. I have spent over a decade supporting clients in hospitals, group homes, community clinics, schools and even their homes. This has allowed me to integrate a thorough understanding of the systems that my clients have had to deal with. I bring compassion, creativity, and humor into the process while maintaining a focus on goals. You can expect an approach that values your individuality and celebrates progress—big or small.
I am best positioned to serve folx living with neurodivergence, gender dysphoria, childhood trauma, new parents and those navigating challenges in their relationships. Areas of clinical need that I am less positioned to address include addiction, eating disorders and bipolar disorder. Clients facing these challenges may benefit from a different provider. If you’re looking for therapy that combines humor, depth, and authenticity, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this process.

Trauma-Focused CBT
I use traditional CBT to help identify the connection between thoughts, actions and experiences and strategize ways to improve and relieve patterns that have been holding people back. For people who have experienced trauma, I combine this approach with a gentle trauma focus to increase feelings of safety.
Narrative
I use narrative therapy to help people envision their lives from a place of growth, hope and courage. This treatment method is based on the idea that people create narratives to make sense of their lives, and that these narratives can influence their wellbeing.
Gender-affirming therapy
I employ a gender affirming approach to therapy to support gender expansive individuals in exploring the nuanced and complex experience of gender exploration and transition.
Integrative
I employ an integrative approach to therapy, tying together multiple treatment modalities based on the unique individual needs of each patient. This includes samples of DBT coping and distress tolerance strategies, mindfulness, solution-focused collaborative problem solving, and psychodynamic assessment of trauma, childhood and family influences.

I am so glad I found Amyl! I was adopted and diagnosed with autism as an adult, and they have offered me much better support than any of my past therapists (~15 years worth). They're incredibly knowledgable about the issues most central to me, and bring concrete action steps into each session. They're compassionate, and not afraid to challenge my thoughts when necessary. Their presence is very authentic and low-key, which helps me feel more comfortable every session.
