Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Connecticut, with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals across diverse backgrounds and clinical settings. I earned my Master’s Degree from Columbia University. I have spent the past 18 years specializing in clinical therapy for adult and geriatric populations. My practice focuses on helping clients navigate a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, work-related stress, trauma, and other mood disorders. Whether you're facing a significant life change, feeling overwhelmed by daily stressors, or seeking guidance, I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, gain insight, and develop practical tools for healing and personal growth. I believe in meeting clients where they are and empowering them to build on their strengths. Together, we can work to develop healthy coping strategies and create meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our initial session, we'll begin by discussing your background, what brought you to therapy, and the challenges you're currently facing. This helps me gain a better understanding of your unique situation and how I can best support you. My primary goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable and heard. We'll also talk about your goals for therapy—what you hope to achieve and the outcomes you're looking for. If you’ve had prior experience with therapy, we’ll explore what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past, which helps me tailor our approach to fit your individual needs. Additionally, we’ll review important aspects of the therapeutic process, including confidentiality, informed consent, and policies around scheduling and cancellations.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a combination of personal and professional experiences that have enriched my ability to connect with and support clients from all walks of life. My passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges fuels my work, and I am deeply committed to empowering individuals to build self-confidence, improve their coping skills, and better manage life’s stressors. My eclectic approach allows me to customize our work together in a way that best supports your healing and growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support adults, including those 65 and older, who are navigating life transitions, managing mental health challenges, or seeking meaningful personal growth. Many of my clients are facing changes such as retirement, loss, shifting relationships, or evolving identities, and are looking for a supportive space to process these experiences. My approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and a deep respect for each individual’s unique story. I utilize evidence-based treatment methods tailored to each client’s needs, helping them build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move toward their personal goals. I work collaboratively with clients to foster insight, empowerment, and lasting change, creating a space where they feel heard, supported, and capable of growth at any stage of life.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT teaches individuals to accept their emotions and thoughts, connect with their core values, and take committed action toward living a meaningful life, regardless of the difficulties they may face.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors, fostering more adaptive ways of thinking and coping.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This approach focuses on cultivating present-moment awareness and self-compassion, helping clients manage stress, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

The foundation of my practice is built on Person-Centered Therapy, which provides a supportive, nonjudgmental space for clients to feel heard, valued, and empowered in their journey toward personal growth.

Psychoeducation

I incorporate psychoeducation to equip clients with practical knowledge, coping strategies, and tools for enhancing self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience.
