As a licensed marriage and family therapist, my commitment is to help my clients enhance their quality of life and make positive changes that will improve their overall wellbeing. My training in psychotherapy and family systems, combined with my license to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders, enables me to provide effective therapy within the context of marriage, couples, and family systems. I have extensive experience providing counseling services to individuals of all ages, as well as couples and families.
The very first session can be a bit overwhelming, I understand. After scheduling your first session, you will receive an initial paperwork and forms to complete prior to meeting. At your first visit we will work on determining your goals for treatment, who will attend our continued sessions, discussions of confidentiality, and how your records will remain confidential. Future sessions will be less formal, and we can continue to get to know one another as we work on meeting your goals. Since each person has different issues and goals for therapy, therapy will be different depending on the individual. I tailor my therapeutic approach to your specific needs. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time therapy can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on you
To ensure the unique needs and goals of my clients are met, I integrate a variety of treatment therapies in my approach. I enjoy helping others while using positive psychology and strength-based approaches.
My current focus is on working with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, self-esteem, grief, significant life changes, and other challenges or stressors that impact their lives.
