My name is Adriana Gomez and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles County and working with clients via Telehealth. I have worked in the mental health field for the past 11 years. I currently work with adults struggling with anxiety, stress, panic attacks, life transitions, women's issues, relationship struggles and depression through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
The first session is focused on gathering information about you, which includes learning about your background, current struggles and goals during your time in therapy. I will also work on learning about what is important to you in your life and your strengths. I will use the information to help create a plan for treatment together.
I strive to create a non-judgmental and safe environment for individuals to begin navigating through what can be their toughest moments. My communication style is calm, empathetic, and accepting. I use the art of active listening to help gain better understanding of each individual's path through therapy.
