Therapy with me is about changing how you process and interpret what you experience. Utilizing neurologically informed and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral approaches, I help you change how you think, feel, and behave. It is a process of creating new ways of being you and relating to others which reduces your distress and increases your wellbeing. I offer you my full attention as a gentle, compassionate and mindful companion who accepts you as you are, without judgment, focusing on your strengths, honoring your wisdom, and supporting your self-discovery as you seek your healing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Integrating attachment science, mindfulness, and neurobiology, our first sessions will focus on understanding your distress, its causes, and possible solutions. Our initial focus is to create a safe space in which you can discover how to be who you want to be. Only you can know that. My job is to help you discover it.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Because our brains are astonishingly resilient and complex, our experiences of anxiety, depression or relational conflict are a complex constellation of brain function, emotional states, and lived experience. My approach integrates mindfulness, compassion and neurobiology in order for us to understand your unique experience and create a plan that helps you become the person you want to be.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Has your relationship become an angry, sad, or scary place leaving you feeling alone, hurt and discouraged? My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT: The Map to Your Future Instead of waiting for fear to vanish before you start living, we treat anxiety as the "cost of admission" for a meaningful life. • Cognitive Defusion: You’ll learn to see anxious thoughts as mere words or images—not absolute truths. • Core Values: We pinpoint what makes your heart beat for the right reasons. • Committed Action: You’ll learn to take steps toward your goals with anxiety in the passenger seat, rather than the driver's seat.

Couples Counseling

Has your relationship become an angry, sad, or scary place leaving you feeling alone, hurt and discouraged? Are you and your partner feeling lost in conflict cycles you don’t understand and desperately want to change? Many of the couples I work with come to therapy feeling just like you. Our initial focus in couple therapy is to create a safe space in which the two of you can discover how to be who you want to be together. Only you can know that. My job is to help you discover it. Integrating attachment science, mindfulness, and neurobiology, our first sessions will focus on understanding your conflict cycle and creating a path toward de-escalation and emotional reconnection.

Compassion Focused

CFT: The Fuel for the Journey Many of us struggle with a harsh inner critic. CFT helps you realize your anxiety isn't a flaw—it’s an overprotective security guard. Using Compassionate Mind Training, we tap into your brain’s natural ability to soothe itself. By activating your "affiliative system"—the biology of safety and connection—we quiet the shame and self-criticism that make depression feel so heavy. • Threat vs. Soothing: We move your brain out of the "threat system" and activate your "soothing system." • Soothing Rhythm Breathing: Practical, physiological tools to create an internal sense of safety. • The Compassionate Voice: Replacing cold self-judgment with the warmth needed to weather emotional storms.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

In addition to thousands of hours working with couples in distress, I have completed hundreds of hours of clinical training specific to couples therapy, including advanced training in both Emotion Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method Couple Therapy. I am truly passionate about helping couples heal and flourish.

Gottman method

I utilize Gottman Method couple therapy to help couples recover from infidelity and deal with chemical dependency and addiction issues.
