Hello, I'm Benita.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and I have been in private practice for the past 6 years, working with adults.
I have a friendly nature and I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. I believe that my personal experiences help me to connect with my clients. I have experience with marriage, divorce, children, trauma, immigration, and multi-cultural issues.
I know that life is often hard, especially if you don't have a good support system. I'm here to help you to explore what is getting in the way of you living your best life. I can't wait to meet you!
My name is Amber and I am just your average woman living life in the midwest. I am a wife, mother to 3 littles and therapist. I have served all kinds of populations from incarceration to outpatient working with kiddos as young as 3 to adults in their 80s. What you see in session, the laid back, goofy but can be blunt person is who you'd meet on the street if you saw me in public. I believe healing comes from within but also from the people you choose to surround yourself with. Some people have a great support system and others have me as their cheerleader and I strive to be a good one.
Are you wondering if your drug or alcohol use is becoming a problem? Do you know that it is a problem, but cannot seem to control it? I am experienced in working with a range of substance use issues, from mild to severe, as well as process or behavioral addictions, such as addictions to sex, shopping, pornography, food, and people. Effective psychotherapy can include helping limit your use and minimize its consequences, or complete abstinence, and an assessment if medication such as Suboxone, Methadone, or Vivitrol is right for you.
Call me Ben! I've been in private practice for 5 years and the mental health field at-large for close to a decade. I'm a big advocate for mindfulness (and ACT) and how it can be used alongside and incorporated into the therapeutic relationship to make tremendous strides in addressing one's mental health. I live in Asheville, North Carolina with my wife and our two cats. I love to go hiking and kayaking, I own a record store where I also work, and love a good gaming session with my friends.
I am a License Mental Health Counselor in New York and Florida that works with marital counseling clients and those experiencing relationship issues and who are struggling with their sense of self confidence. My ideal client is someone who is committed to the process of self-introspection and wants to be held accountable to reach their goals. I specialize in counseling women and men on self-esteem, worth & actualization. I also support clients affected by bullying, narcissistic abuse as well as those dealing with complicated grief. As your therapist, I will assist you in discovering or uncovering yourself. This might mean realizing some difficult truths about your personality and behavior patterns, tapping into your strengths, and identifying what coping skills work for you. Or, it might mean working through emotional pain, trauma, or barriers that prevent you from being your best self. In my years of experience, I have found that once a person’s authentic identity has been discovered through therapy, clients can accept who they are, confidently speak up for themselves and understand themselves with greater perspective. Usually this leads to healthier relationship choices and dynamics. I will help you to learn more about yourself and make realistic changes.

My name is Wanda Barnes, I am a licensed mental health therapist LMHC in Florida and a licensed professional counselor (LPC), in the State of Maine. I started working in substance abuse at 17 years old driving the bus that took clients to AA/NA. Many years later I am still passionate about working with those who struggle with addiction of any kind or those who love them. I also worked 9 years with children and families in schools and foster care. Later I opened and operated a mental health clinic in Florida.
Every client is unique and is facing their own distinctive challenges. Therefore each treatment plan should be personalized and individualized. An ideal client is one who comes to counseling with an open mind and is ready to try new approaches and coping skills. Each person will benefit differently from a wide variety of approaches. Together we can and will find the right strategies that work best for you. There is not a "normal" or "standard" cookie-cutter path. It is a journey! I have experience working with issues as grief, anxiety, anger, mood, neurological, trauma, relationship issues, substance use disorders, and more.
I am dually independently licensed and passionate about providing the utmost quality of services to people struggling with mental health, substance use disorders and dual diagnoses. I have over 10 years of practice, including a wide array of experience, working with clients of all age groups individually, with couples and in groups.
The therapeutic environment is a safe place for clients and their families to experience their vulnerabilities while sharing their stories. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, existential, EMDR, and Person-Centered treatment interventions and I have found that when using these interventions, people begin to realize the strength to overcome challenges.
My journey in mental health began in 2004, when I realized helping others find light through darkness was my true calling. After earning my master’s degree, I started my career at Phoenix House in Brandon, Florida, where I discovered a deep passion for supporting people as they recover and rebuild.
I specialize in counseling individuals struggling with addiction, problem gambling, and co-occurring mental health challenges. My approach is person-centered, strength-based, and empathic, empowering clients to uncover their own capabilities and create healthy, fulfilling lives. I believe that with the right support and tools, anyone can move beyond survival and into meaningful, lasting change.

Hi! My name is Gilmarie, but you can feel free to call me Gigi. I am a licensed, clinical social worker providing individual therapy and couples counseling for clients in Illinois as well as Florida. I am bilingual in Spanish and English and am of Puerto Rican descent.
As a social worker/therapist, I love working with people and I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. It is an honor to walk through life with my clients. Also, I enjoy providing faith-based counseling for those who desire to incorporate their faith in their therapeutic journey.
I am Caitlin, a licensed mental health counselor who is trained in multiple trauma techniques and has years of experience working with both adult and adolescents. I work hard to help my clients create positive and healthy change in their lives and sustain that healthiness. I believe all deserve to be accepted and understood no matter what they may struggle with and I work to provide a safe and caring space.
I always knew that I wanted to be a helping professional. As part of an assignment, while taking a counseling course designed to assist offenders with substance abuse problems, I had to write in five words or less what I wanted people to remember about me. My words were “helped people live better lives.”
I have over 30 years of experience working with clients who live with psychiatric and substance use disorders. I started my "helping" career working for the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC). After observing the effects of early childhood trauma on many of the offenders that I supervised, I decided to end my 21-year career with GDC and pursue an education in counseling. I have never regretted this decision! For the last 6 years I have provided psychotherapy for individuals and groups.
I love doing what I believe I have been called to do and my life's work remains guided by those five simple words in my title. I look forward to helping you learn to live a better life!
Hi! My name is Jacqueline Lizarazo, and I go by Jackie. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in therapy for individuals, children, and couples, with a focus on grief, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and sexual abuse.
Why Choose Me:
I want you to read the following passages:
On Abuse: “I lived in a glass house into which my mother could look at any time. In a glass house, however, you cannot conceal anything without giving yourself away, except by hiding it under the ground. And then you cannot see it yourself, either.”
On Depression: “Trees aren’t supposed to display fruit; they’re supposed to produce it. As much as I wanted to see results, I knew that I had to wait. The tree had to become healthy and mature before it could produce the fruit, and that takes time.”
If what you read resonates with you, this is the type of therapy I offer. I push, and sometimes might make you cry—not to harm, but for growth. I deeply care about my patients and only want the best for you.
I am not judgmental; I am here to listen and provide feedback. I often ask myself the question: if I were sitting where you are, would I come back? And the answer is yes. I give homework, so don’t expect it to be easy unless we need it to be. I am flexible, and my schedule is pretty open to fit your needs.
We’re going to have days where we just catch up and talk about what happened that week but be prepared to talk about your past. I believe together we can grow into the person you want to be.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, stress, and relationship challenges. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, EMDR, and hypnotherapy to provide practical tools for lasting change. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of creating meaningful growth.
Hi, and welcome to a safe space for you to be able to express your thoughts and feelings. I am here to support you on your healing journey, provide validation, and help you grow by educating, processing, and calling out behaviors and areas in need of growth. In this walk, you are not alone. I am ready to walk with you.
I've been blessed to have wonderful professional positions throughout my career (see roderickhaferphd.com). Most recently I was Vice-Chair of the Psychiatry Department at the University of Wisconsin. I enjoy working with all client presentations and believe that the "connection" with those I treat is critical to therapy success. I think a 15 to 30 minute free consultation would be the best approach to determine "our fit" in working together.

As a therapist, I focus on guiding patients towards building essential skills to overcome their challenges. I believe that mental health issues come in myriad forms, and it is our duty to provide support, unburdened by negative stereotypes and judgment. Hello, I’m Dr. J, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a PhD in Social Work and specialized training in mental health education and complex trauma. I bring both clinical expertise and a deep personal understanding of how chronic stress, identity shifts, and emotional overwhelm impact daily life and relationships.
I specialize in working with mothers who often appear capable, organized, and “on top of things” on the outside, while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and emotionally exhausted. Many of the women I work with are balancing the demands of parenting, work, and relationships while quietly struggling with burnout, identity loss, and the mental load of motherhood.
In our work together, I help you slow down and make sense of what is happening beneath the surface. Many clients come to therapy feeling like they are constantly “on” mental overloaded, or unable to rest even when they have the space to do so. Together, we explore how chronic stress is showing up in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and nervous system, and we begin building tools to support emotional regulation and relief.
A central focus of my work is helping you reconnect with yourself. Many mothers describe feeling disconnected from their identity outside of caregiving roles. Therapy becomes a space to explore who you are now, what you need, and how to create a life that feels more balanced.
I also support clients in navigating relationship changes that often occur during early motherhood, including communication challenges, emotional disconnection, and shifting roles within partnerships. As you begin to better understand your own needs and emotional patterns, you may notice meaningful changes in how you show up in your daily life.
Therapy with me is a supportive space where you do not have to hold everything together on your own.
I am a mental health counselor licensed in Arizona, Florida, New Hampshire and Georgia with over 14 years of experience working with individuals and families. My counseling style is warm, caring and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs as it is important to meet you where you are at and use your expertise as well. It takes courage to seek out help for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I live by the view that if you can change the way you look at things the things you look at can change. This slight change in perspective can make a world of difference in your life! My goal is to support you in building a purposeful, balanced, and fulfilling life. To enhance accessibility, I offer evening Telehealth sessions.

My ideal clients are adults—often high achievers—who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, and the pressure to keep everyone else happy. These patterns quietly erode confidence, strain relationships, and make even small decisions feel exhausting. What they’re really looking for is relief—clearer boundaries, steadier self-trust, and the ability to move through life without constantly second-guessing themselves or carrying old family dynamics into the present.

I show up in my therapeutic sessions not just as a clinician, but as a real person - someone who values honesty, warmth, and the courage it takes to face life's challenges. My work is grounded in authenticity because I know that people heal best when they are truly seen , heard, and accepted without judgment.
