I am welcoming to all who struggle with anger, trauma, psychosis, and stage of life issues such as divorce or loss. I specialize in individual counseling for substance abuse, anger, trauma, psychosis, and domestic violence. I enjoy using Jungian psychology as a resource to help people explore the depth of their struggles and find hope on the other side. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused therapy as tools to accomplish this. Things can get better, and we can be okay--no matter what life brings our way. I enjoy the opportunity to help people explore and move their lives forward. There is always hope, and there is always opportunity to grow.
In our first session I will listen. I want to know what concerns you have, what the biggest priorities are for you. In the course of that discussion we will find our common ground and we will have opened the doors to healing.
I am curious, exploratory, and want to help. I utilize empathy and reflective listening, and can also be directive when necessary. Your goals are my goals.
I welcome anyone struggling with life transitions who wants to feel better and move forward. Life can throw difficult situations our way, and it can be hard to stand firm in spite of that. I would like to help you find the resources inside yourself to overcome.

Shaun has been very patient with me. I don’t feel pushed. Instead gently challenged to not fear the hurdles I am overcoming little by little. He offers a space where you can take room to "show up as you are" and where you are without immediately putting you on PIP. What has been stuck in me finally started to move, because he didn't fill the space in the session, he let me face it. As a therapist, I can tell he cares & his calmness helps to process chaotic spiral in a steady way. He is awesome!

I really appreciate the actual and active listening, not just hearing, which results in my getting some really intuitive and poignant things to keep thinking about it. It's a real and meaningful discourse that helps me keep moving forward.
