Hi, I’m Amy, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida. I love helping people feel more grounded, confident, and connected to themselves. I work with young adults, especially college students, navigating the often messy transition into adulthood, as well as adults of all ages dealing with anxiety, depression, life changes, and other concerns. I’m also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and support clients in healing their relationship with food and body through a non-diet, compassionate approach. Before private practice, I was a School Counselor in the middle school setting, and I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from UCF. My style is warm, collaborative, and real. I’m here to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered in your growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and heard. We’ll spend time getting to know each other. I’ll ask about your background, what brought you to therapy, and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions you might have about the process. There’s no pressure to share everything right away, this is your space, and we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly understood and supported. I combine evidence-based methods like CBT and mindfulness with a person-centered, collaborative style that meets you where you are. My approach is flexible and tailored to your unique needs and goals, which helps clients build practical skills and gain insight that leads to real, lasting change. Many clients tell me they appreciate how I balance empathy with clear guidance, helping them feel empowered throughout their healing journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of your next steps, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. I’m here for young adults navigating the transition into adulthood, college students juggling stress and self-doubt, and anyone facing anxiety, depression, or any of life's challenges. You might be trying to understand yourself better, break old patterns, or simply feel more at peace in your day-to-day life. I offer a supportive space where we can work together to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned with who you truly are.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that impact emotions and behaviors. Through my experience in private practice, I’ve supported individuals in building practical tools to manage anxiety, mood challenges, and everyday stress more effectively.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help clients develop greater awareness, presence, and self-compassion. I work with clients using mindfulness techniques to manage anxiety, reduce stress, and build emotional resilience in daily life.

Gender-affirming therapy

I offer gender-affirming therapy in a supportive, validating space where clients can explore their identities without judgment. I’ve had the privilege of working with transgender and gender-diverse individuals as they navigate transition, relationships, and self-discovery with authenticity and confidence.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I take a person-centered approach, creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard. I work to support clients in connecting with their inner strengths and values to guide personal growth and healing.
