I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Board Certified Art Therapist, and my approach is strength based and client centered. Although I mostly use a cognitive behavioral framework, art therapy is something special I offer to my clients knowing it can be a powerful and unique way to process emotions and experiences. Whether a client is going through a challenging life transition, suffer from more chronic clinical diagnoses or have areas of life they want to reflect on to change or improve, I encourage them to reach out for a complimentary consult call. I look forward to working with individuals on their own journey of personal growth and healing.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I have walked with individuals on their personal journeys of self-discovery and change for the past 23 years. If you have been in therapy before, or this is your first experience, I will create a safe space for you. Regardless of your concerns or clinical issues, we will work through them together, and your journey will be individually and uniquely created to meet your needs and goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My experience in a wide range of settings, with various populations has given me much knowledge and understanding on meeting the client where they are, while honoring the diverse needs of each individual. Also, for those individuals involved either personally or professionally in foster care, the adoption process or the dependency system, I offer supportive services and a safe space. That specific work where individuals can experience specific stress and trauma daily - I understand these effects, and will help them process those experiences through therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Anyone who may find themselves feeling lost, overwhelmed, or faced with a life stressor that may feel challenging to navigate, I can provide tools to help manage. Even clients who have been in therapy before, I offer art therapy based forms of expression, that often provides a deeper level of understanding. When clients are open to trying the art therapy in sessions, they can access their emotions often in an alternative, creative manner.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe in exploring and using the strengths the client brings with them into the session. Often, due to current life circumstances or stressors, those strengths just need to be rediscovered or enhanced.
