About me

Hi! My name is Brittney and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. My background in child welfare, independent living services, and mental health has given me extensive experience working with both teens and adults navigating trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and emotional instability. I’ve supported individuals through some of the most difficult and overwhelming periods of their lives, helping them build confidence, develop healthier coping skills, and create more stability in their relationships and daily functioning. My approach is supportive and strengths based. I focus on creating a comfortable and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel safe exploring their experiences while also developing practical tools to manage stress, strengthen relationships, and build a more grounded and confident sense of self.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is really about getting to know you. We’ll spend time building rapport, talking about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you’re currently facing, and any important history that may help me better understand your experiences and needs. This is your time, and you are always in control of what you choose to share. There is no pressure to open up all at once — you can talk about as much or as little as you feel ready for. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable moving at your own pace

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is my ability to create a space where people feel comfortable being fully themselves. I’m direct, genuine, and meet you where you are without judgment. Clients often tell me they feel like they can open up easily with me, even about the hard things they’ve kept bottled up for a long time. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported and understood while we work through trauma, relationship challenges, self-worth, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I want therapy to feel like a safe place where you can build confidence, feel understood, and start navigating life with more clarity and stability.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and break free from patterns that leave them feeling anxious, disconnected, or emotionally overwhelmed. I especially enjoy working with justice- involved individuals, clients struggling with relationships, self-esteem, attachment issues, processing past trauma and life transitions while helping them build healthier coping skills, emotional confidence, and a stronger sense of self.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients stop fighting against difficult emotions and start responding to them in a healthier, more intentional way. A big part of my approach is helping clients build self-awareness, reconnect with their values, and learn how to move forward even when self-doubt, anxiety or relationship stress is present.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients work through painful or overwhelming experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable for them. My approach focuses on helping clients better understand how past experiences may still affect their emotions, relationships, and sense of self while building healthier coping skills, emotional confidence, and a stronger ability to move forward.
