LMHC, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
Welcome to the start of a new chapter in your life; Having the vulnerability to begin this journey is a huge step in the right direction, and I am proud of you! While working together, my approach will be warm and collaborative. I believe YOU are the expert on your own life, and in our work together, I’ll provide a supportive, non-judgmental space to help you tap into your inner strength and build a toolkit for lasting change.
Our first session is all about getting to know each other. This is a chance for me to hear your story and understand what brings you to therapy. We'll cover some important intake paperwork, discuss confidentiality, and outline what you can expect from our work together. The most important thing is to know that there is no pressure to share everything at once—we'll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Building trust and comfortability is important to me.
I believe the foundation of the most meaningful therapy happens through a trusting, two-person team. I bring warmth and curiosity, while you share your unique story and expertise on your life. Together, we'll create a safe space for processing and reflection. However, I will also gently challenge you to identify unhelpful patterns and perspectives that might be holding you back. My goal is to help you build insight, awareness, and find the courage to create lasting, positive change in your daily life.
I have 5 years of experience working directly with individuals who struggle with mental health conditions, such as Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders, Trauma and Stress related disorders, along with Substance use and Addictive disorders. I have a collaborative mindset and approach when creating therapy goals, however, I will challenge you to reach your full potential.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a highly effective, evidence-based, and practical approach for treating many different mental and emotional health issues. I value practicing CBT to intertwine the client's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are interconnected by changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. This is very effective in helping improve the clients overall emotional well-being.
A Humanistic therapy approach empowers clients to take an active role in their own healing journey. I promote personal growth within a supportive, non-judgmental counseling relationship. Instead of hyper-focusing on a diagnosis or past traumas, I use humanistic approach to foster a client's individual worth and inherent potential to create positive change in their life.
I engage in Person-centered therapy to help promote that the client is the expert in their own life. I value creating the therapeutic relationship built on a foundation of trust, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. The client is empowered to lead their own journey of self-discovery and grow in every aspect of emotions, behaviors, and confidence. This method believes the client has the inherent capacity for self-healing and personal development.
This form of therapy assists the client in a practical, goal-oriented, and solution focused type of outcome. SFBT helps build solutions collaboratively and help create positive changes in the lives of clients. This is a "quick" and effective form of therapy for clients who need support.
