Do you find yourself struggling with navigating the challenges of life with the need to escape? Addiction and avoidance are two very common mechanisms used in today’s world to deal with the crushing weight of life. Trust me, I get it. I have walked my own journey out of addiction into sobriety. It is a lifelong process that I embrace. It’s not just about breaking free from substances, but also achieving emotional sobriety. Time is a luxury many of us don’t feel that we have and we are constantly looking for the “quick fix,” but life has other plans. If you are looking beyond a “band aid solution” to living a better life today you’ve come to the right place. I’ve been there. I may be a therapist, but I’m a human first. A person just like you. Would you like to accept the invitation to enter into this journey of healing together? To go from surviving to learning how to thrive? To learn to unapologetically love yourself again, or maybe for the first time ever? You’re worth it. It’s your time to make yourself a priority.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is an opportunity to build rapport and begin identifying treatment goals. There is no pressure to move any mountains, we are just trying to figure out what mountains we want to tackle.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe in a holistic approach to the therapeutic process. I want to meet you exactly where you're at and empower you to take an active role in your treatment experience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My experience working in a dual diagnosis substance use treatment program relied heavily on the use of CBT interventions. I have found that assisting individuals in identifying and challenging cognitive distortions is critical to making meaningful changes in deep rooted patterns of thinking.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT strategies are a "go to" therapeutic modality I use to support mindfulness and acceptance, while learning to regulate emotions.

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interviewing to encourage client empowerment as a way to promote commitment and growth in the therapeutic process.
