I’m a direct, honest therapist who believes real change happens when we stop pretending things are fine. I work especially well with people navigating addiction, whether you’re struggling yourself or affected by someone else’s use. I understand the tug-of-war between wanting relief and wanting control — and how exhausting it is to live in that space. I also get how hard it is to find balance in a world that moves too fast and demands too much. If you’re tired of surface-level fixes, quick advice, or being told what you should do, we’ll probably work well together. I’m not a quick-fix or band-aid therapist. My goal is to help you slow things down, get honest, and reconnect with your truth — not the version of you shaped by pressure, expectations, or survival mode.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if this is your first time. There’s no pressure to have the “right” words or a clear plan when you show up. You can come exactly as you are. Our first session is about getting to know each other and beginning to explore what brought you here. We’ll talk about your goals, what feels most urgent, and what you hope therapy can help with. Just as important, we’ll pay attention to whether this feels like a good fit. Therapy works best when you feel safe, heard, and understood — and that starts from day one.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I take a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that emotional health doesn’t exist in isolation. Together, we may explore how physical well-being (sleep, nutrition, movement), spiritual fitness (whether faith-based, secular, or values-driven), and community or support systems impact your mental and emotional health. I believe sustainable change happens when we look at the whole picture — not just symptoms. My work is grounded, practical, and collaborative, with a focus on helping you build a life that actually supports your healing, not one that constantly pulls against it.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired. My ideal clients aren’t necessarily confident or clear; they’re willing. Willing to be honest. Willing to look at patterns that aren’t working. Willing to redefine who they are and how they want to live. If you’re ready to stop surviving on autopilot and start intentionally shaping your path forward, we’ll do meaningful work together.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT allows us to identify patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that keep you stuck and experiment with practical strategies for change. We’ll work together to notice automatic reactions, challenge unhelpful thinking, and create tools that support real-world progress. My goal with CBT is not to force you into a formula, but to give you a flexible framework that helps you understand yourself and navigate life more effectively.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients clarify what truly matters to them and take meaningful action, even in the presence of difficult thoughts or emotions. Instead of trying to eliminate discomfort, we focus on noticing it, accepting it, and moving forward in alignment with your values. ACT is practical, collaborative, and designed to help you live a life that feels authentic — not one dictated by fear, doubt, or outside expectations.
Motivational Interviewing
MI is a collaborative, non-judgmental approach I use to help you explore ambivalence and build motivation for change. Change is rarely linear, and sometimes it’s scary to admit you want it. Through MI, we’ll unpack what matters to you, identify barriers, and strengthen your confidence to take the steps you actually want to take — at your own pace.

A truly authentic and kind therapist that I really enjoy working with. She is direct without being abrasive, has a sense of humor, is easy to talk to, and the sessions feel very welcoming and accepting. She keeps up with my crazy life and always circles back to things. She pays attention to the details and is very observant. I’m lucky to have her and I highly recommend.
