What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

*** Please note that I am only able to schedule appointments on the hour (i.e. 10:00), and cannot accommodate appointments on the half hour (i.e. 10:30). Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve the scheduling platform. *** I check-in with clients each session to ensure their goals remain the same. I also confirm they are continuing to find my therapeutic approach helpful. Clients are encouraged to express their needs. Therapy sessions are adjusted to meet the client at a level comfortable to them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to speak openly. My clients often smile and even laugh if that is what they feel during the session. If there are tears then I help them to acknowledge what is behind those tears. I want therapy to be enjoyable and helpful. It is a unique experience that I encourage you to try for yourself.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

I help clients to identify and understand their attachment styles. In addition, we can apply this to real-life situations so that you can see how your attachment style shows up and impacts your relationships.

Faith based therapy

I can incorporate Christian faith principles into therapy sessions and reference scriptures as they apply to your needs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

It is important to understand what is happening when you are experiencing certain feelings and emotions. I do activities within the session to walk clients through a CBT process. This has been a game changer for many clients.

Compassion Focused

My approach is gentle due to the sensitive nature of what is discussed in therapy. I work with clients to increase their level of comfort with asking for what they need and providing feedback within the therapy session. My intention is never to offend a client. I tailor assignments and strategies based on the client's feedback and point out the progress that clients often times do not recognize how much they have accomplished.

Mind-body approach

Discussions about the emotional patterns of eating and your diet are incorporated. I educate you about how this can impact your mental and physical health.
