Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida. I received my Masters from Florida International University and have been practicing for 8 years. I help adults struggling with grief, anxiety, and adjusting to everyday stressors become the best version of themselves. I'm here to provide you with personalized support and guidance on your journey towards greater well-being and personal growth. Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), grief therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques, I aim to help you navigate life's challenges, cultivate resilience, and discover your inner strength. Together, we'll work collaboratively to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and supportive environment, empowering you to make positive changes and live a more fulfilling life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can feel comfortable and safe to share their thoughts and feelings. I aim to establish a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship from the very beginning. The focus of this first session will be building rapport and developing goals for treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths include my warmth, my welcoming demeanor, and my peacefulness. The majority of the clients I have worked with struggle with anxiety and need the calm and peaceful aspect of things.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

The dream client for me would be someone who is open to self-reflection, growth, and positive change. They would value a collaborative and empathetic therapeutic relationship, where they feel heard, understood, and supported in their journey towards mental well-being. This client would be motivated to actively engage in the therapeutic process, whether it involves exploring past experiences, learning new coping skills, or setting and working towards achievable goals. They would be willing to challenge themselves and explore new perspectives, even if it means stepping outside of their comfort zone.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT for the past 8 years and I integrate its principles into my sessions to help clients overcome challenges and achieve their goals. My experience with CBT spans various contexts, including individual therapy, and online platforms. I often incorporate homework assignments, and journaling exercises to reinforce learning outside of sessions and promote sustained progress.

Grief Therapy

Grief therapy is a specialized area of practice that requires a sensitive and empathetic approach. My experience with grief therapy encompasses working with individuals who are navigating various types of loss, including the death of a loved one, the end of a significant relationship, or other life transitions. I understand that grief is a deeply personal journey, and I tailor my interventions to meet each client's unique needs and circumstances. This may involve helping clients process their emotions, identify and express their grief-related thoughts and feelings, and find meaning and purpose in their loss.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy is a powerful approach that I integrate into my practice to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness, acceptance, and self-compassion. In sessions, I introduce clients to mindfulness practices such as meditation, body scan exercises, and mindful breathing techniques. These practices serve as tools for developing greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations without judgment.
