New to Grow
Hello, I’m Fernanda, a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Let’s be honest—life can be hard, and sometimes the struggle feels like a lot to carry on your own. I’ve had the privilege of working with people from different backgrounds who are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, and everything in between. Mental health doesn’t look the same for everyone, and therapy shouldn’t either. I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, feel heard without judgment, and work together to find what truly works for you. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can start wherever you are.
During our first session, my goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and supported. I know opening up to someone new can be difficult, so we’ll take things at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your needs, and what you hope to accomplish. I’ll also complete an initial assessment to better understand your concerns and determine the best approach to support your goals. Together, we’ll begin your journey toward greater clarity, confidence, and well-being.
I take a very humanistic approach to therapy. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment, pressure, or being told what you “should” do. My role is to listen, help you gain perspective, and create a space where you can better understand yourself and your experiences. Together, we’ll explore what feels right for you and find your own path forward.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their life. I work well with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or major life transitions. You don’t need to have everything figured out—just a willingness to show up, be honest, and explore what may be getting in the way of feeling more like yourself.
I believe you know yourself better than anyone. My role isn’t to tell you what to do, but to listen, understand, and help you see your experiences from a different perspective. I create a safe, judgment-free space where you can be yourself, explore what you’re feeling, and discover the choices and changes that feel right for you.
I use CBT to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we’ll notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work on healthier ways of thinking and responding. The goal isn’t to “think positive,” but to help you feel more in control, build confidence, and approach life’s challenges differently.
I recognize that your experiences can shape how you see yourself, others, and the world around you. We’ll work at a pace that feels safe for you, without judgment or pressure. My goal is to help you understand how past experiences may be affecting you today while building healthier ways to cope, heal, and move forward.
You are more than the challenges you’re facing. I help you recognize the strengths, resilience, and abilities you already have, even when they may be difficult to see. Together, we’ll build on what is working, identify what matters most to you, and use your strengths to create meaningful and lasting change.
When your mind feels constantly busy, it can be difficult to slow down and enjoy the present moment. I use mindfulness strategies to help you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment. Together, we’ll practice ways to feel more grounded, manage stress, and respond to challenges with greater calm and intention.
