New to Grow
Hi, I'm glad you're here! I am a Haitian American clinician, born and raised in Miami, Florida, with a deep appreciation for culture, community, and faith. As a Christian and a licensed clinical social worker, I strive to create a therapeutic space that is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and grounded in both evidence-based practice and respect for each person’s values and lived experience. I earned my master’s in social work from Florida Atlantic University and have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, and life transitions. My primary treatment approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, enabling them to develop healthier patterns and practical tools for daily life. I am also currently in the process of becoming trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an approach that can be particularly helpful for those who have experienced trauma or distressing life events. My goal is to integrate EMDR into my work to offer clients additional pathways toward healing, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of self. As a Haitian American therapist, I understand the importance of identity, intergenerational dynamics, and cultural nuance in the healing process. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and beliefs and am especially passionate supporting those who may be navigating the intersection of culture, faith, and mental health. In our work together, you can expect warmth, honesty, collaboration, and a focus on practical change that aligns with your goals and values.
Clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment during our first session. I focus on rapport building and gaining an understanding of what brings them to therapy, while exploring their expectations and goals for treatment. We will review important information such as confidentiality, its limits, boundaries, and how to contact me. My goal is to create a safe space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and supported as we work together toward meaningful growth and change.
I bring empathy, active listening, and a nonjudgmental approach to my sessions. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My strengths include using a client-centered, trauma-informed, and CBT-based approach while tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs, experiences, and goals.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves, work through emotional challenges, and make meaningful changes in their life. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or difficult life transitions. My ideal client is open to exploring their thoughts and emotions, learning healthy coping strategies, and actively working toward greater healing, self-awareness, and emotional well-being. I provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard and empowered throughout their healing journey.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and behavioral patterns that may contribute to emotional distress. Through a collaborative and client-centered approach, I help clients develop healthier coping strategies, reframe negative thought patterns, and practice more effective behaviors. I also incorporate trauma-informed interventions and, as appropriate, EMDR-informed skills to support clients in processing difficult experiences and building emotional resilience.
