Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Hi, I'm Jacob. I specialize in helping adults heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where we can work together to understand what you're carrying, build on your strengths, and help you move toward lasting healing. My passion for this work comes from my own life experiences. As a young person, I lived through significant trauma, including abuse and profound loss. Like many people, I searched for ways to cope before I had healthy support. My healing journey began when I started serving others, which eventually led me to become an EMDR therapist. Experiencing EMDR for myself transformed the way I understood healing and inspired me to pursue advanced training and certification. Today, I use EMDR alongside a client-centered approach, always meeting you where you are. I believe healing is possible, even when it doesn't feel that way right now. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable while helping you process difficult experiences, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful change in your life.

I believe therapy is most effective when it feels both supportive and collaborative. My goal is to provide a safe space where clients can process trauma, explore challenges, and build the skills they need to live more fully. I offer psychotherapy, therapeutic assessments, and specialized interventions designed to meet each client’s unique needs. Whether you are navigating life transitions, managing mental health concerns, or seeking greater clarity in your relationships, I aim to help you feel understood and empowered. As I often remind clients, our connection to the world is shaped by the people we engage with. Together, we can build on your existing strengths and experiences to create meaningful change and improve your quality of life. As an athlete, a family man, and a man of faith, I understand the challenges with adjusting to change associated with leaving a sport or career, you love, before you believe your time is up. I understand what it feels like to develop a bond and the challenges with sustaining such bonds. I also understand seeking growth spiritually when there’s so much temptation and triggers that seem to pull me away for my goals. With that, these experiences are what hopefully keep me humble, motivated, and grateful.

Hi there! I'm Dorian. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida - a Jax native with a recent move south to the Space Coast. I received my Masters of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014 focusing on clinical social work. I approach therapy with flexibility and adaptability, focusing on what will best align with you, the client. But, of note, I do so very casually, honestly, conversationally, and course, hilariously (the latter, though subjective, has been confirmed. By me.) . Opening yourself up to therapy can be intimidating! A bit scary! But there's no requirement stating you must dread it. Through my views on mental health, self help, and all kinds of therapy - combined with, well, my personality - it seems that I've become adept at a sort of "stealth therapy." Admittedly self-defined, I'd best explain this by saying that sessions are conversational, instead of a "traditional" therapist-role to client-role back and forth. Just kidding. But, I approach therapy in a way I . I don't speak in riddles, and I won't pretend that I know you better than you know you. I listen, I hear your words -- your input has value and I will never dismiss you or your concerns.

I have been a practicing social worker for more than 30 years . Much of this experience has been working in a large public teaching hospital in Miami, Florida. The scope of service that the hospital provides is quite comprehensive which afforded me opportunities to work with a very diverse population . i have counseled patients and their families dealing with a variety of illnesses, both physical and mental health, survivors of sexual assault, and also providing counseling to patients in a correctional setting. I like challenging situations. My style of counseling is very eclectic, depends on the client and their unique set of problems. This can range from client centered, solution oriented or cognitive behavioral as many people are coming to therapy to learn new ways of thinking and alternative coping strategies. For the past two years, I have been involved in teletherapy providing psychotherapy to clients that are experiencing such problems as anxiety, depression, employment, relationship, and interpersonal difficulties. Also I have been providing counseling to teenagers dealing with the above issues and involving their parents when indicated.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or unhealthy relationship patterns, you don't have to face it alone. Healing is possible, and together we can help you move toward a calmer, healthier, and more fulfilling life. I'm Paula Arce, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 15 years of experience helping adolescents and adults overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, narcissistic abuse, codependency, and relationship challenges. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that helps people process traumatic experiences and reduce emotional distress. My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I work with clients to identify the beliefs, behaviors, and relationship patterns that keep them feeling stuck while building practical skills to manage emotions, strengthen boundaries, and create lasting change. I also provide couples counseling focused on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional connection. For clients who desire it, I can incorporate Christian principles into therapy while always respecting each person's beliefs and goals. I believe every person has the capacity to heal and grow. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move from emotional pain toward hope, confidence, and resilience. If you're ready to take the first step, I would be honored to support you on your journey.

My name is David Patrick, LCSW. I have 14 years of experience dealing with a wide array of topics that bring people to therapy. I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership. I see myself and my clients as friends on a journey of discovery about themselves. I do not lead, nor allow myself to be led, I believe we are equals. I listen intently and make suggestions and sometimes assign homework when appropriate. Remember, there are 168 hours in a typical week, and most people only see their therapist for one hour, leaving 167 hours outside the weekly session to practice and explore questions and see if the new results are present. I see us as equals and occasionally I will make suggestions, but ultimately this is a time of discovery for the individual and it is a privilege to walk alongside you on your journey.

Yes! If you use Blue Cross Blue Shield - Medicare you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Blue Cross Blue Shield - Medicare you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
