I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor passionate about helping clients move past what's holding them back from being their best selves. I am a proud alumnus of North Carolina Central University (B.A.) and Nova Southeastern University (M.S., Mental Health Counseling). I welcome clients from all walks of life and every stage of the journey, whether you're new to therapy or returning. Together, we identify what isn't working, build on what is, and create a path toward real, lasting change. My goal is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and equipped to move forward. I offer individual and couples therapy via secure telehealth across Florida, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you, helping you recognize your strengths and build practical steps forward. My areas of focus include, but are not limited to, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and premarital readiness. Therapy can be intimidating, but I applaud you for taking the first step toward becoming a better you. You do not have to have it all figured out to reach out, you just have to be willing to begin. Let's enjoy the process together as we work to help you achieve your goals. I would be honored to walk alongside you.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, no pressure to have everything figured out. I will ask about what brought you to therapy, your history, and what you are hoping to change or understand better. You will have space to share as much or as little as feels right for a first meeting. Together we will start to map out your goals and talk through what treatment might look like, including how often we will meet and which approaches may fit you best. I want you to leave this session with a clearer sense of the path forward, even if the full picture is still coming into focus. I bring over 13 years of clinical experience and a direct, collaborative style. You can expect honesty, warmth, and zero judgment. Therapy works best when it feels like a partnership, so your feedback throughout our work together matters and will help shape the direction we take. Above all, this is your time. Come as you are.
I bring over 13 years of clinical experience across community mental health, executive leadership, and private practice, along with licensure in Florida, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. This range gives me a grounded, real-world understanding of how people actually live, work, and struggle, not just clinical theory. My approach blends narrative, solution-focused, and systemic therapy models, which means we will focus on your strengths and the stories you tell about yourself, not just the problems that brought you in. I believe people are not the problem; the problem is the problem, and that shift alone can create real movement. I bring direct, honest feedback paired with genuine warmth. I will not just nod along; I will challenge you when it serves your growth, and I will walk alongside you the whole way. My background as a Big Brother, community organizer, and men's group facilitator also shapes how I show up: present, invested, and unafraid of hard conversations. Clarity. Courage. Change. That is what you can expect from our work together.
My ideal client is someone ready to be honest with themselves, even when it is uncomfortable. They may be facing anxiety, life transitions, relationship struggles, or a general sense of feeling stuck, and they are motivated to understand the "why" behind their patterns, not just manage symptoms. This client does not need to have it all figured out. They just need to be willing to show up, engage in the process, and take ownership of the small steps between sessions. They value directness paired with compassion, and they are open to being challenged when it serves their growth. Many of my clients are men navigating identity, purpose, or relationships, professionals balancing high demands with personal well-being, or couples and families wanting to communicate with more clarity and less conflict. Whoever they are, they are ready for change, even if they are still finding the courage to pursue it.

I can't recommend Ron enough. From our very first session, I felt comfortable talking with him. Every conversation leaves me feeling better than when it started. What I appreciate most is that his advice is never repetitive or generic. Each session brings fresh insight and practical guidance that truly helps me work through what I'm facing. I've noticed a real difference in how I think about and handle things. I'm grateful for his support and highly recommend him.

I like the way he starts off getting to know who you are and even though I was all over the place. He really listened and it looks like I'm going to really enjoy this. Thank you so very much

I have struggled to find a therapist that “fits” and gave up on looking but after being encouraged anew, I selected Ron based off of his profile and despite only having one session so far, feel empowered and challenged. This is the first time in my therapy attempts where I am wholly looking forward to meeting again. I believe I made the right choicen
