Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. My goal is to help you strengthen communication and boundaries with yourself and others so that you can improve your quality of life and move toward the future you envision. Therapy is not just about overcoming obstacles—it’s also about personal growth. Together, we’ll clarify your goals and identify strategies to help you move toward them, whether that means change over the next month, six months, or a year. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. I take a strength-based approach, helping you use your unique abilities to address challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to empower you in creating lasting change. Most importantly, I bring a relaxed, compassionate, and trustworthy presence, fostering a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and supported.

I am a clinical social worker, therapist & life coach. I collaborate with clients in facilitating their ability to navigate their journey through change. I provide clients the opportunity to learn, change and grow, and I provide guidance for them to learn healthy adaptive ways to improve their response to encounters with life stressors and challenging life situations. Clients are engaged in various evidence based therapeutic interventions and the exploration and discovery of their untapped potential, so they can harness the necessary skills and strategies to facilitate behavioral change. In the scope of my practice I aim to empower clients through sessions that are based on a holistic, client driven approach. I view clients through the lens of their personal environment, as their well-being is significantly shaped by their life experiences. In addressing clients presenting issues, I take into consideration the correlation between their presenting issues and their environment; i.e., social, cultural and physical, that contribute to current challenging life circumstances. Focus is given to past experiences and current situations to help them navigate their therapy encounter and future successfully.

Hi there! I'm Dorian. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida - a Jax native with a recent move south to the Space Coast. I received my Masters of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014 focusing on clinical social work. I approach therapy with flexibility and adaptability, focusing on what will best align with you, the client. But, of note, I do so very casually, honestly, conversationally, and course, hilariously (the latter, though subjective, has been confirmed. By me.) . Opening yourself up to therapy can be intimidating! A bit scary! But there's no requirement stating you must dread it. Through my views on mental health, self help, and all kinds of therapy - combined with, well, my personality - it seems that I've become adept at a sort of "stealth therapy." Admittedly self-defined, I'd best explain this by saying that sessions are conversational, instead of a "traditional" therapist-role to client-role back and forth. Just kidding. But, I approach therapy in a way I . I don't speak in riddles, and I won't pretend that I know you better than you know you. I listen, I hear your words -- your input has value and I will never dismiss you or your concerns.

I am someone who likes to make a difference. I love helping people, and love seeing the changes client's can make when they know the path through. My therapeutic approach is inspired by a profound message from one of my favorite therapists: “You may feel like you're in the desert right now, but I will walk beside you. I won't pull you or push you. When you're tired, we'll rest. When you're scared, I'll stand with you. When you're sad, I'll sit with you. Together, we will reach the other side.” These words continue to resonate deeply with me and shape my compassionate, supportive practice.

I believe that one of the most important parts of therapy is the relationship you have with your therapist. Feeling safe, understood, and supported makes real healing possible. I work with young adults healing from childhood trauma and PTSD, and with individuals navigating major life changes related to medical conditions or aging. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence based practices to help you better understand yourself, build resilience, and regain a sense of control. Therapy isn’t about “just getting over it.” It’s about making sense of your experiences and learning how to move forward in a way that feels right for you. What typically surprises people is that I am the 11th of 13 children - all from the same parents. Growing up with so many siblings has given me a great opportunity to learn about family dynamics and effective discipline. My parents did a great job of maintaining a safe and well-behaved home, and I use their example as a template while also incorporating my own experience as a parent for working with families today. As for my approach to therapy, I use several different theories depending on the need of the client; however, my primary mode is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It just fits my personality. If you are looking for a therapist who focuses solely on your emotions and how you're feeling on any given day, then I will not be a good fit for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a therapist who not only does all that but who will also listen to everything you say (as well as the meaning behind what you say) and then challenge your thinking habits to help you find more effective and productive thinking patterns, then I'm on board for that. I learned a long time ago that many clients do not want things "Sugar Coated", but rather prefer their therapist to be respectfully bold and blunt. If this is who you are looking for in a therapist, then let's get to work.

I'm Michael Christopher Anthony Blake Edwards, but you can call me Mikie, a Canadian-American, U.S. trained Psychotherapist and Board Cerified Counselor, EMDR Therapist, Basic ART Practitioner, Mindful Hypnotist, Lifestyle and Wellness Coach, Qualified Supervisor (for those interested in LMHC or LMFT licensure in the State of Florida), Licensed Mental Health Counselor living in Ontario, CA. I am executive director and Owner of EPIC Flourish in the State of Florida, where I was born and raised, working with driven adults — executives, entrepreneurs, first responders, and veterans — who look like they have it together from the outside but feel scattered, on edge, or disconnected on the inside. If you've built the career, stayed disciplined, and kept pushing, and something still feels off, that's not a character flaw. It's usually a sign your mind and body are asking for something you haven't addressed yet. With 14+ years of clinical experience, I hold licensure as an LMHC, plus certifications as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified Mindfulness-Informed Professional (CMIP), and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). I've also completed Harvard Medical School Executive Education in Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching and trained in Mindful Hypnosis. I offer secure telehealth sessions across all 67 Florida counties and work with most major insurance plans, so cost doesn't have to be the barrier to getting real help. New clients are currently welcome. This isn't about becoming someone different. I believe that every person’s journey is unique, which is why I use an integrative, individualized approach to therapy. By drawing from a variety of evidence-based treatment methods, I tailor each session to meet your specific needs, goals, and life experiences. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity, creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, academic concerns, chronic illness adjustment, caregiver stress, diabetes-related behavioral health concerns, and issues related to aging and later life. I am especially passionate about helping young people develop the emotional and social skills needed to thrive. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, my goal is to help build resilience, strengthen self-confidence, improve emotional well-being, and develop healthy coping strategies that promote lasting growth and healing. Together, we can work toward overcoming obstacles, discovering strengths, and creating meaningful change that supports a healthier, more fulfilling life.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or unhealthy relationship patterns, you don't have to face it alone. Healing is possible, and together we can help you move toward a calmer, healthier, and more fulfilling life. I'm Paula Arce, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 15 years of experience helping adolescents and adults overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, narcissistic abuse, codependency, and relationship challenges. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that helps people process traumatic experiences and reduce emotional distress. My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I work with clients to identify the beliefs, behaviors, and relationship patterns that keep them feeling stuck while building practical skills to manage emotions, strengthen boundaries, and create lasting change. I also provide couples counseling focused on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional connection. For clients who desire it, I can incorporate Christian principles into therapy while always respecting each person's beliefs and goals. I believe every person has the capacity to heal and grow. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move from emotional pain toward hope, confidence, and resilience. If you're ready to take the first step, I would be honored to support you on your journey.

We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

Yes! If you use UnitedHealthcare Complete Care (C-SNP) you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have UnitedHealthcare Complete Care (C-SNP) you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
